Before I retired I rode to work on my bike every now and then, but it was close to my house so in good weather I would walk. Can you believe it, but they tried to mug me twice on my walk to work, did not go well for them, first 2, the second time 3, bad idea for them, I grew up in a bad place and now have both Judo and Karate. I am not a nice guy.

Don't worry bro...if it's daunting I suggest taking smaller less busier roads until you're comfortable with the bike

I'm trying to get into this "biker thing" and my question is where does one get the biker clothes or accessories...on a budget though, if there is such a thing. My wife hates the fact that I want to buy a bike

Hi there Sydwell, thanks for the comment. I will be uploading a video about gear soon but if you're in Joburg you can get good affordable gear at big boy themselves ...I got my helmet from there..gloves and jacket I got from a bike shop in a China mall in Hillfox area (not sure if they are still there though)
