I have a Tesla MX performance 2017 and it is coming up to 7.5 years. I use TESLAFI app which says I have 10.8% degradation. Replacement cost for me 100kw battery is A$45,000 .. gulp !! I am in Australia..😎

I owned a 2017 MX as well. Seems that most of the degradation happens in the first year, then trails to a couple of % each year. As long as you still have enough range for your daily use, I expect your battery will continue to perform for a long time yet. How many Kms on it now?

I believe only a small percentage of Bolt batteries were actually replaced. Chevrolet changed their mind mid early in the replacement process and forced customers to run a software test for 10,000 km and 90% of those after the test were told they aren’t getting a new battery. I got this from a Bolt owner who is not impressed with how the battery replacement was handled.

The recall, which was initiated in November 2020, affected around 110,000 Chevy Bolt and Bolt EUV units from model years 2017 to 2022. All batteries on 2017-2019 models were to be replaced, while defective modules in 2020-2022 Bolts were to be replaced. By mid-2022, Chevrolet and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that well over half of 2017 to 2022 Bolts had been addressed, but no specific numbers were provided.

Besides Teslas, the battery costs $300-400+ per kWh, it's just crazy. Reman packs aren't really that great it seems. Batteries at scrap yards can be cheap for a reason but good to know they're only selling for $5-6,000 CAD. Hopefully those cars were not scrapped because of battery issues.
