The fact that children ages 3 to 11 are in one room deters me from vacationing on this ship. I'm not sure what the reason was behind that, however I prefer for the children to be divided by interest and age accordingly just as they do in school and camps, etc. Personally, I feel that this may possibly intimidate my little ones who are 3 and 5-- I'm sure other parents may feel the same way. That's totally not a good idea. I really hope that Royal Caribbean's line does not decide to make this change for every ship.

Aw your so welcome! How many kids will you be traveling with? The biggest gripe parents have it having their kids spilt up over different rooms with the age groups

It is a big age gap, but the room is rather large and how toys and activities are separated I think kids will somewhat stick to their own sides. Do you have an only child? Thanks for watching Whitney.

Personally have 4 kids ages 5, 7, 9 and 11 and I am so excited they all get to be in one area! My 5 year old wouldn’t want to be separated from her siblings

I agree! Horrible decision... My family and I have completely decided against traveling on this ship because of the change.

My son is 11 and we were looking at going on this ship, but the age range that he would be with would not be fun for him. He may be 11, but thinks and acts older, like most his age. The video game area is good, but with only 3 screens, I can see it would be swarmed with the younger kids as well. This is making me think we will need to look elsewhere for a vacation together.

Do you have to pay to leave the kids in the 3-11 room? Can I go there with my toddler and play for free? Is there a play area/room free of charge like how the freedom of the seas have a play room.

For the teen areas do you need to sign in or scan in to access them?

Rachel, are you referring to parents signing in or scanning in the teen into the room? If that is the question, no I don't believe the parents have to do that. I am under the impression they are able to come and go as long as the parents are okay with that.

I believe they can come in and go as they please, but they might have to scan or sign in a log of when they were in the room.

no they are broken up depending on their age group. If your kids are close in age and in different age groups you can ask to have the older be in the group with the younger if it's an issue.

Giuliana, it depends on where you cruise is going. You would need to look into the specifics for the cruises destinations.

Janice Crowell they offer different activities (slots) for the kids club only, like flowrider and rock climbing! they just need to check the kids club compass.. Keep in mind it can change from ship to ship as not all activities may be available on the ship.

I think that's a fair point, but at least the room is very large and spread out so they will gravitate to certain sections.

Directly outside of the living room is the "backyard" area which is exclusive to teens. Beyond that is the stairs to the flow rider and the rest of the sports court above. 😊

It depends on the sailing. They normally do have open house for the adults to go see.

Personally after watching this I think that Royal Babies and Tots looks awful! Coming from being on the Harmony and Allure, with lots of toys and a colorful space, this has literally nothing! I hope there’s something for my son to do when we board in February, he will be bored to tears. Just my two cents.

Although maybe a lot of the toys were put away in the cubbies or weren't pulled out since there wasn't any children on the sailing (in was a charter). Hope you have a great cruise!
