How Life on Anchor Looks For Us (On an Old Sailboat) | Ep 43

In this video, we head to a new anchorage in Mallorca to escape some swell. Turns out it's beautiful, it's nestled in a national park and has crystal clear water. We make the most of our time here doing every activity possible and soaking up the Mediterranean life on anchor here. We practice some free diving, get some free goat yoga, play frisbee on the beach, go for a coastal walk only to be chased out by a billy goat. This is what our life looks like on anchor most of the time - and Med life at its best!

I've always been impressed with you two. You're doing it! I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and read the book Dove in 74-75'. Sailing became the bucket list :) But life happened. Three times I all but retired, three times all but bought the boat, and with three different wives :) Never found one who would do the adventure. Congratulations you are doing it and doing it well. Hey Stephen! Thank you so much for becoming a patron - that's amazing. Sent you a message on Patreon but maybe you'll see this more easily. I havent read that but will add it to the list. For me (Lars) it was Across Islands and Oceans by James Baldwin that I read at university in 2013. Became obsessed with the idea of sailing at that point! You're right though, the stars have to align sometimes and it's not always obvious. For us we were lucky that we had nothing to lose at the time we made the decision. And a bit of ignorance is bliss! Working out so far anyway despite hiccups. Hope you're well!

Hey Carolina :) Thanks so much! We used to have the Canon M50 (until a wave hit it in the cockpit a couple of months ago). But all our videos and most photos have been shot with that. But more recently we got a Lumix GH5 which we're starting to use and loving too.
