That scene always reminds me of Gimli trying to out drink Legolas in Return of the King, he obviously fails, because elves, dah 😂 And I have always thought Tolkien’s ‘wine highway’ was one of his most ingenious inventions for middle earth. i love these hobbit read-throughs so much, ahhh. as a tolkien nerd this is so relaxing and i love nerding out to it while listening. different question tho: would you ever consider making a playlist of your music recommendations or leaving them up in an insta highlight? because i usually take screenshots and then i forget to add them and then my screenshots are lost somewhere in my phone. :‘) would really appreciate it.

As usual I was going to gather my thoughts for this lovely and relaxing audio and I end up falling asleep before I could... 😴 Well, I'm awake now AND (even though it's still ridiculously in the very early morning hours...) have (YES) relistened to this audio, so that I can make a proper analysis of it - because, as you know, that's how I roll! You know I just CAN'T miss any detail! Here it goes! The first time I listened to this audio it wasn't even 10 seconds in that I was already laughing! You were SO silly in this, Navi! When you're not tired when recording/uploading these audios during these late hours, you become goofy! I love it! 0:23-0:28 - "You know, you, you can always read it on your ow--- No? OK? You need me to read it for you? OK." - That's right, Nav! How DARE you state the obvious! I KNOW I can read it on my own, but I can't compete with that gorgeous voice of yours! I'm not going to bonk you, though... I just don't have the heart to... I'm way too soft. Lol. 🥺 0:32-0:41 - Today I learned that chilling and drinking tea were actually "dude stuff"... If that's the case, that's definitely MY kind of dude! Nothing beats having a boyfriend who's very chill and simple. Doesn't necessarily need to be rowdy or wild just because he's a "dude". I like that a lot... 0:52-0:54 - "Are you really that excited to read the next chapter?" - Well, Navi, it's been... what... like over a month since we read Chapter 8? In other words... DUH! Lol. 1:14-1:32 - NAV! I was most DEFINITELY loyal to you throughout this entire audio! Like I said, it wasn't til AFTER that I ended up falling asleep before I could review this gem. I even relistened just for that! Haha! 5:34-5:44 - That Old English, man... Very confusing, indeed.... 8:22-8:39 - That accent.... 😍😍😍 11:19-11:22 - "All this talk of food has made me thirsty." - Ummmm... OK... 🤨NOT hungry??? 🤔 On another note, your tea-drinking... Very relaxing and comforting! 🍵 17:25-17:37 - I would say that your pronunciation of 'vineyard' is correct because in the U.S. state where I live there's an island called "Martha's Vineyard", and it's pronounced exactly how you said it ('Vin-Yrd'). So, yes! Although, I suppose it depends on the individual and where they're from, but your pronunciation is correct! 26:27-26:31 - Confusing 'butter' with 'butler'... LOL. 🤣 28:53-28:55 - The sound was abruptly and very briefly muted. At first I thought it was my Internet beginning to act up. That's OK, though! It literally only lasted 2 seconds! Not a big deal! Just an observation I just happened to notice! 29:45-29:55 & 32:01- 33:30 - What bangers! Although, the second song was probably the first time I heard you stumble on in the 9 chapters that you've read so far in this book. Lol. I had been wondering if those were actually melodies of the songs or if you just made them up! Fascinating! By the way, when will they be out on Spotify??? 33:34-33:41 - Yes, I giggled and NO you will NOT bonk me with your tea cup!!! How dare YOU! I'll bonk you right back! (Spoiler alert: Actually, no I won't... Like I mentioned before, I don't have the heart to because I'm too soft. Lol. I don't think I'll ever use the 'Bonk' emote on you.) 40:20-40:22 - "Are you enjoying this? Is this living up to your expectations?" - Always, Nav... ALWAYS! In fact, you always EXCEED my expectations! 41:39-41:46 - LOL. 🤣 42:20 & - 43:11 - "My Darling"...... 😭💓 Excellent work as always, Nav! I don't think I need to say it, though, as I'm sure you already know this! I always enjoy these book clubs. They're so comforting and relaxing! They really are a great sleep aid. it has officially been declared couch time !! and I finally got around to listen to this, _at last_ 😮‍💨 I actually didn’t read the hobbit nor watched the film (yes, I’ve been living under a rock) so it’s always so exciting >< I mean, sure, I can read it on my own but then how am I supposed to get all these sick bangers ???🤨 plus, I very much enjoy getting triggered by the italic font and the suspense of a possible ievan polkka-esque masterpiece✨ (maybe not power metal but it does the job🥸) it’s nice how the music nerd side of you get to thrive once or twice every chapter 🤎 and I also like that bilbo ups his critical thinking skills every chapter, promising smol fellow 😌 will finally sleep after two damn nice, prolonged _darlings_ -at which i almost dropped my phone this time- lived up to the hype - thank u kind tea man 🫖

Yay my favorite story teller is back! This was quite of an adventure of this chapter. I'm sad that the elves were all captured and taken as prisioners. Though I'm confused why Thorin was kept the furthest from the rest. Is it because he was the first elf found? I'm not sure. Though I'm not surprised mister Baggins came through with helping them in the end. I am however surprised that his plan enabled them having them nearly drown to escape the great king. I can't even imagine how scary it is to trapped in a barrel rolling along a great river in hopes of recovreness. The only thing I can think of that is similar to this type of scary is shipping yourself in the mail. I have seen some videos on KZbin of people shipping themselves in the mail and its scary, especially if not handled with care. Oh ew it makes me cringe. You using your Gandalf voice for Mr. Baggins made me giggle. Hey don't bonk me on the noggin, I bonk you on the noggin . Great job Navvi. P.S(Congrats on 42k.
