thank you, i just bought from a neighbor, 8 of these for $40, real real happy for this battery tech!

the 2nd round sale never occured on thier website. it was email only and the 2nd round sold out in a day or 2. they do have 50a new lifepo4 cells for $28 each in cases of 10 now which is only about 10% more in cost than your green battery cells.

They had some of the 25Ah for sale for a few months and they have a few different sizes for sale now. You definitely have to keep an eye out for deals on their site because they sell out quick! Thanks for watching!

Reading the comments, I see there was a second e-mail sale?......I never received that. I picked up 16 in the first sale for my e-bike. Just watched your 48v battery build video. Nicely done. I've been waiting for these to come up again. Any idea if there will be a 3rd sale?

Hey, Those batteries are good, man! I got a 16S2P set up. Today I ran those batteries for more that an hour at 400Watts. My MPPT switched off somewhere above 54.8V. I was busy doing other things but I expected that because it happened the day before. So I made a few notes and look up the instructions for the chinese brand MPPT. I did not find much. So I tried to recreate the shutdown condition again. Turning off the PV voltage to the MPPT caused it to start charging again. It happen three time. So I know MPPT was the culprict. The BMS kept the balance among the cells. I have a Classic SL so I can easily put it on line but I intend to get a MPPT another controller that can give 100A.

Yep! I will run the 48 volt system and have the 12 volt just as a back up device incase the 48 volt have a problem. I will get more 120ah batteries to add to the set I got. Then I will run the 48volt system with 100ah batteries and configure the Gravitas to run 200ah on the 12 volt system

@diyrenewableenergyelectron49963 жыл бұрын
For this test it was a Daly 100 amp 4S LiFePo4 BMS. Thanks for watching!
@matthiashoffmann41493 жыл бұрын
Nice Video! But why did the BMS not shut off when the voltage dropped so low?? Isn't that the exakt job of a BMS ?
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49963 жыл бұрын
It is! However these Daly BMS’s typically cut off at around 2.2v per cells which ends up being a lower total voltage than the voltage cutoff of most inverters. So the inverter shut down before there was any danger of over discharging the cells. Thanks for watching!
