Everyone should listen to “Maa Durga” by Krishna das. It touched me soo deeply I’m lost for words to properly describe it. When I listen to it sometimes thoughts would come about what would my family think of me listening and singing to this, but as I dove deeper into the sounds and let the thoughts go and I surrender to the music and emotion conveyed by the singer and the audience and the flutist I felt such indescribable wellness that I cried like I’ve never done before EDIT: see more details in my replies below

Moon represents Ida energy in us, Sun represents Pingala energy in us and earth is base Kundalini energy. its not literally about planetary motions which represents 3 gunas. from every quark or from microcosm to macrocosm, from quantum physics to relativity everything is dipping and drowning totally in this 3 gunas not just earth sun and moon. physical, material things cant exist without 3 gunas.

Sun governs the life like a king. 2 Earth is tamas dominant because it is the base and most stable ground to support the governed life by sun. 3 Moon is satva dominant because it makes life evolves from 1 cell to baby size body in 9 cycles of moon. there is no other way to sustain life without these 3 gunas of atmosphere in nature.

Read "Sri Devikalottara" Where Shiva gives Devi the instruction on realizing the ultimate truth. That book gives no methods, it removes all methods. If you must have a method of some kind, pick any one of 112 methods given by Bhairava to Bhairavi in "Vijnana Bhairava Tantra". As someone who has traveled and lives in a first world country I see women suffering even here with probably different issues. Women either have it great even in India or suffer even outside India depending on how evolved their karma or consciousness is.

While she does enjoy more freedom, respect and control in some parts of the world, her state is even worse than what is in India, in some other parts of the world. Whatever may be the case the fact remains that in general she does not command same level of respect, freedom, acceptance and equality as men do anywhere in the world, sure exceptions will be there. The root cause of all this is the fact that the 95-99% of world suffers from Patriarchal mindset.
