It’s fairly easy tbh. Don’t even stress over it. It’s really nothing. I recommend to run a lot and work out such as doing push ups and planks. All you really need. Just follow orders and listen because you’ll be a ghost and the rdc won’t even know you existed.

@hallowzone4681
@hallowzone4681 Жыл бұрын
@@sheepleslayer586 I don’t remember the exact score but it was in the 90’s. They pretty much just told me I had everything available to me. I ended up on the phone with a scout for the NUKES programs and they were really tryna get me into that but it just wasn’t something that I think would work for me. After weighing the pros and cons I ended up going with CTN. Crypto rates are pretty nice and have lots of benefits, and I was hoping for something in the IT realm anyway as that’s been my interest since I was a child and I’ve taken classes and studied. If I remember correctly my practice ASVAB score was a 68 and I bumped it way up with minimal studying. It was just the math that I went and touched up on, and I only studied for less than a week within the month or so that I was given to prep. With a practice score of 83, I think you’ll be good to get pretty much any rate they have available. Just make sure you touch up on your stuff and smash that ASVAB cause you’ll definitely not regret it. If you got any other questions I’d be willing to answer any I could 👍🏽

You should talk about the suffering that people will go through if they are sent to SEPS. You should warn about seps and how you can stay locked up for months or even years instead. You should warn about seps and not just talk about bootcamp. People have to know the horrendous part about the bootcamp as well, not just how good the navy paints it. I know a lot but I don't want to talk. But you should make a video about what will happen if you get sent to Seps.

In order to rank up off the DEP test, you would have to pass the DEP test and your RDC assessment ( the first time around) in offical PFA standards. You will know if you pass and rank up as your RDC will tell you. Also you can rank up off certain jobs like RPOC, AROC, Starboard Watch, Head PO etc as long as you do your job correctly with little to no problems and maintain it through bootcamp until the end, you will get ranked. Sometimes the RDC's just pick recruits and advance then. So my best advice is to be the best recruit you can. Step outside your comfort zone and show your RDC's you deserve to be ranked up, and if you don't, it's ok. You will get ranked in the Fleet. It will not be the end of the world.

@@tywalk11 how long is your school there? My son will be in P-COLA for his A school too. He probably won't be there til after 3rd or 4th week in October. I was there back in 2001, and went through 9-11 on that base, we went through lock downs. I remembered seeing alot of foreign pilots and wondered what the heck is America doing? We were training people, that could possibly be used against us. We all got pretty sketchy about who was on our base and why. Paranoia definitely stepped in our thoughts during our times there.

@@tywalk11 ok also my son has the AC rating. My husband and I both were AC in the Navy, but now he works in the FAA. So much has changed since we were there. We heard u all don't get liberty til your about to graduate A school, dont know if thats true! ? But anyways, if younknow any AC airmen, let them all know, FAA is hurting for controllers, and we know the website where they can apply to. And once they are about to be out, tell them to apply! Because u get more benefits, more freedom, better health care, better pay, especially for your retiremen,, but medical insurance is top notch- u will get what thr senators have! But because military medical is sub par. I have nothing nice to say about that topic, but that they are running an incompetent program and nobody should trust what comes from their mouths. I learned too much when I studied to become a dr, and in my MCATS study guide book, within first few pages, they openly tell you that most military medical professionals are medical school dropouts. When I saw that, I was like, ok, this makes sense now. I had the most disturbing experiences within the military medical community. I highly advise u all DO NOT trust them, and seek better health care for your family. My dr I see has me looking into a lawyer on my experiences, so I can't go into details. But make sure u all keep copies of your records, if seen. Because they are also horrible at filing. I had other people's personal medical conditions in my record. I had to go to emergency room when I was pregnant. In portsmouth va. I showed up, and the military dr said to me, oh it looks like you're still pregnant!! I'm like yeah I'm 100% still pregnant! Well they said there was records in my files of another female, who came in there, was pregnant and lost her baby in that same ER. They think the corpsman weren't filing records correctly. Goes to show you, the level of incompetency within the system. When I checked out of the navy and requested records, I saw more evidence, because I again had other people's files in mine. I was misdiagnosed there on that base in P-cola with having a cold. When I checked onto new base, I had to go to flight surgeon, and they took xrays of my lungs, found out I had double pneumonia. Talk about starting a career in the Navy, with that. It sucked. So please share my story with others and trust your body. And know, if your sick, you should be able to go to nearest ER. And claim u are closer to the civilian one, vs military hospital tricare should pay for it. But double check. I started doing that. Because I got misdiagnosed so much by military medical personnel, I no longer trusted them. I could have died on several occasions, because of their ignorance. And when I read my MCATS study guide, and saw what they said, I was in disbelief, and finally knew l, like omg, no wonder I didn't get great health care when I was in. And they Also misdiagnosed my son. At 2 months old. Different unit, was in kingsville tx then. And dr there Said my 2 month old baby had a cold. I demanded xrays on 4 diff visits! He was coughing and had fever and vomiting. Dr refused xray. After 4 attempts at that facility, I asked tricare for 2nd opinion. We had his care transferred to corpus Christi naval base. Dr there said, he needs xray, Stat. Then came back and said your son is very sick! (I'm like, duh I know that!) Then she said she was insisting on writing my husband and I up for neglecting our sons medical care. He was diagnosed with double pneumonia. In military, they can write u up for not taking care of your family. Anyways, I told this dr that I came to her for 2nd opinion because kingsville naval base dr wouldn't take an xray like I asked every 4 times I took my son to her. So corpus Christi dr said hold on, I want to check something. She left the room and came back and apologized to us. She checked the system to see if we were lying. And in fact the kingsville dr annotated that I was being "demanding" asking for unimportant tests when clearly the baby just had a cold. Well there were other things in the notes, and corpus Christi dr wrote up the kingsville dr. Shortly after, I was advised my a higher up medical person, that the kingsville dr was transferred out of that medical facility because she got in trouble. ALL I can say, i could write a book on what I experienced, which is all about medical neglect, incompetency, and medical gaslighting. It's so bad, that I see a psychologist for PTSD, Who works for the VA in disabilty claims. But I see him, and he is dumbfounded and not surprised, he stated its unfortunate and he has been hearing the neglect is way too often. I do plan on sharing my stories with higher ups in the military, in hopes they can make changes, for the better for u all. Because of the level of neglect and pompous attitudes medical professionals display in the medical field, made us realize, the NAVY could ultimately kill our children or leave my children without a momma. It was that bad. My husband re-enlisted once, and decided to get out-strictly based on the medical neglectof, and applied to the FAA, to be an air traffic controller with them. We are so lucky to be out, because my kids lives were at stake, and serving the military was not just about us and the careers it involves your family too. My husband now makes over 200k a year. And all I can say, is please please please, u all be careful. Stay alert, and vigilant. I share this, to help, not to put any shame upon the medical military medical facilities. It's more about knowing, and don't hesitate for 2nd opinions or seeing a civilian ER, because it just might save your life. I saw in my records, where they prescribed me medications, that I didn't know about!!! This was after a car accident. When in fact, I was denied pain medication. I suffered herniation in car accident, and now have nerve damage, where my legs crumble out from under me. They even documented in my file that I refused to go to physical therapy! When in fact I was going 3 times a week!!!! Like wth, right? So I highly advise, u all to get copies of your records stay on top of it!!! Because they will falsify and lie to make themselves look better and that you are the one not following their advice. I was pissed when I found this out. But anyways, u all deserve better than that. And if u gain a family while in, remember what I said! Because it might help you and your kids. There are plus sides to a navy career just the bad ones are what made our final decision to get out. I had to get help from my cousin who worked in the pentagon at that time, because the military kept sending me to work when I was pregnant and having contractions, basically halfway, close to having my baby. I had to stop in middle of hwy when I had contractions, because I couldn't move, they were that strong. They wouldn't admit me to military medical facility, because my contractions weren't regular. Well when you are over half way dilated, u should be in that hospital. My cousin found out that the real reason was, they had no room for me. But needless to say, I was shortly admitted after my cousins help. It was outright ridiculous that I had to seek someone from the pentagon to help me and he was high level official, who set right next to secretary Donald Rumsfeld at that time. He was also almost killed on 9-11. So many stories to tell. Good luck to everyone of you. Stay safe, thank you so much for serving. Look out for each other. WE are all a family. Again, if u know any AC's, they can ask me anything, if they are interested in going the FAA route at some time in their career. Sorry for writing u a book. Good luck with ya!!!😇🥰

@@hawaiibound62 my school is about 3 months. I got here June 4th and graduate August 31st. But yea there still are foreign officers in training here, I’ve seen a couple and was just as confused as you probably were😂 but I’ve had a conversation with them before and they seem pretty coo and getting trained only because they are from a allied country so if war was to happen they can actually help us.

@@tywalk11 ok, yeah the ones I saw couldn't speak any English. So I was confused how they were flying. U have to know English, as it's worldwide, in AC. It's the standard language. So no matter where u fly, it's supposed to be English. That's what also confused me.

Those stats on the thumbnail look like a breeze. I can already plank for 2 minutes and do 45 pushups. I can also run a mile in about 7 and a half minutes. For a smoker, that's not bad either 🤣 I should probably quit smoking...

Shipmate your recruiter was garbage. You should have smoked any OPFA or PRT because your recruiter led you in PT during DEP meetings. Hopefully you were mentally prepared for boot camp as well. The more you are mentally and physically prepared, the more you stand out for leadership positions. But it sounds like you adapted and overcame. Find you a good mentor when you get to the fleet. Good luck.
