Dude, Travis Lively be the pimp in the class "two weeks and a long day". Dude NEVER frets ever! You could have set him on fire, and he would have been, I got this and self extinguished that fire from within! Love how Fox was in the classroom sipping on his canteen and just chilling, taking it one moment at a time. Fox is still in the teams as a Master Chief. You don't end up as an E-9 in the Navy without deciding to wake up everyday and kick some ass! Brother, I love the videos! Arizona loves you dude! FIRE for sure, it is hot up in here!

Jake, as a civilian who has loved this documentary since it came out (seen so many times I can hardly watch it anymore), this is an awesome series you're doing! Please do the mile bay swim part! And, how about reacting to our hero Lively being furiously scolded by three instructors for his failed integrity in Phase 3 (part 6)? More future candidates must learn from his lesson! More seriously, it'd be truly legendary to get Lively on again, maybe in a AMA style...I always wondered what both of your "why" was and how you had such beyond invincible confidence to succeed. Heads up for the hell week video -- I'm pretty sure the free 4 hour documentary on youtube was edited to have short segments removed (maybe so it wasnt taken down), and thus might be missing the full epic speech from the Lieutennant on the first night, where he instantly silences the chaos into obedience. Thanks again for making these, it is really cool to get the inside scoop! (PS, as an alum, I must note the UIUC area code is the same as your class #)

They absolutely do in certain cases. Like, I can explain exactly why the instructor at 2:10 straight needs to disappear from the face of the Earth, and in a very bad way. He's the only instructor I had a problem with in 228, but he was still there in 240, and I was mad-dogging him when in X-Div. I still remember that fool to this day. And Im not the only one who's felt like this about certain instructors. Its not extremely frequent, but it definitely happens.
@sereneoceanbreeze44472 жыл бұрын
Gotta say, just to get this off my chest, but Chief Taylor was just as advertised, and I never got to thank him for it. The way you saw him on screen was just the way he was off. Highly professional, and highly intelligent. Patstone was the same off and on in mannerisms as well, and he'd whip that ass. Instructor Hoy had a different name from what I remember in 228, and he was a first phase instructor then, as opposed to an indoc instructor like he was in 240.

It’s so weird how some people get effected by the chafing and some people just don’t. Jake you must watch this now and say wow looking back. You have a unique way of just looking at things in the simplest form it obviously worked. And you can just take the punishment with a smile that’s a gift

Hey Jake! Just a random question. I learned recently to qualify to go to Green Team you need 2 deployments, with no more combat (at least publicly) is devgru now essentially closed to anybody coming in? I suppose the quick question is: 2 combat deployments or 2 deployments of any kind? I know it’s not the only qualification, but this seems impossible during peacetime and I know we don’t disband devgru between wars. Thank you!
@jakezweig2 жыл бұрын
It's 1 deployment if invited ...two to try out....combat does not factor in
