I don’t see how lying about talking to journalists daily about evacuations or not is relevant. He exaggerated his relevance…..wow, mind blowing. We all exaggerate. The relevant part, to me, is that he had explicit opportunity to speak directly with these CNN reps on multiple occasions to see what they wanted and where they were headed with the story. He never did. Instead, he sent a bunch of messages discussing things anyway. They used his messages in their reporting when the talks broke down. He knew he was talking to journalists the entire time….in fact, one of the largest news corporations in the world. He admitted he never actually spoke with journalists. He should’ve know everything he was saying was in play for “news.” Seems like he was almost setting them up from the beginning for the whole thing. And the fact that he was making large profits from the evacs does not bode well for him in that regard.
