I’ve been driving since I was 20 in small towns and I’m 24 now living near a big city and I get SO ANXIOUS. My husband takes me in the city to practice and it gets better!! I had stopped driving when the pandemic started because out of nowhere I will get driving anxiety but I started driving again after 8 months and it feels like learning how to drive all over again. YOU GOT THIS! It’s just practice practice practice! :)

Awww, your dad is so supportive. As someone who is also learning to drive right now, you just need time to get used to it so don't be too hard on yourself. But I love that you were like "I'm too stressed to read rn so... I'm gonna read" lol. Been watching your channel for years and still love it Naya! I didn't like mortal instruments so I never tried cassandra clare again after that, but you're making me curious now!

I don’t know if this is a problem for you too, but the thing I found the most difficult about learning to drive is that I improved too gradually to notice how much I had improved. Finding ways to compare how it was going now vs at the complete beginning was very helpful. For me that was when I got driven home by the next student. Being driven by someone taking their first few lessons is a great reminder how much better you got after many lessons. You may still be too early too really notice those changes, but you will

Thanks for the joy before I go to work this morning 💛. I loved watching & you read so much alongside work! Your dad was so right about driving advice. I've been driving for 15 years and I still remember those kind of things happening in lessons. You'll get there!

I passed my driving test a few months back (after about 4 fails) and I must have had hundreds of lessons, at one point I started crying halfway through! Don’t worry about mistakes ! It’s how you learn , and once you’ve done your test you’ll never have to do any of this again!

🤗 *virtual hug* you'll get the hang of driving! I remember having the hardest time learning how to drive when I was a teen....it took a lot of practice (and a few failed exams, lol) but eventually it feels like second nature. Keep up the practice, the packing, and the reading! ❤

I'm about 3 months late, but with regards to driving, I also got my license at 23 after taking a series of driving lessons, and I actually failed the first time I took the road test. I was also TERRIFIED of driving and had 0 confidence in my ability to maneuver a car. What really helps is lots and lots of practice, preferably in a less populated area where not too many cars are on the road. Eventually you'll get to the point where you can drive anywhere once you get comfortable just being behind the wheel of a car. Hope this helps!

I'm also learning to drive on the highway, and I get it, it can be so nerve-wracking! Merging onto the highway itself is what's most scary for me. But I'm trying to get over that fear. Best of luck to you Naya 🙂💛

Sending you all the strength to keep going with your driving lessons. I had a lot of anxiety and I used to cry a lot on my first classes, I did get over it and got my driving license pretty easily. I still get anxiety when I drive on my own and it really sucks because it feels like I am back at when started (even though I now have the skills) so I really try to take each drive one at a time and remember that almost all the time it's all in my head and I can totally do with. Also I also haven't picked up Chain of Gold but this video is really making me want to do it!

I know it seems terrifying driving but just know everyone starts there. I remember a lot of situations with driving I was pushed to drive bc I was so nervous and shaking the whole time. Now I can drive care free. You’ll be fine just keep practicing and try practicing outside of the school too once you get comfortable

I don't know if you'll read this but learning to drive sucks. Honestly I can't even express how frustrated I was with myself when I would mess up during my lessons and how anxious how would feel whenever my teachers were mad at me. Please be kind to yourself, as your father said, you are learning, you are going to mess up a lot and it's fine! Keep a positive energy, this is just a little uncomfortable moment to go through :)
