Daily he used to take care of the plants and was very keen at his gardening skills. His garden was quite famous in the town. Whenever someone visited his garden he used to boast of his skills, hey see, that is my garden, I’ve planted this plant, I brought this plant from a very far away place. One fine day, a stray cow entered his garden and ate a few flowers, Brahmin saw this and was enraged! He took a stick and began beating the cow, and the frail cow died! Now, other people came in and saw the dead cow, and told the Brahmin that he was a sinner! Brahmin said! No, I’m not! You see, this cow died by a stick which was held by my hands! What is hand? A karm indriya! So, Who is the caretaker of my hands? Obviously Indra! And hence, Indra is the sinner not me! For if he wanted he could have just stopped my hands! In heaven when Indra heard this argument, after a month from the incident, he came down on earth in a guise of a scholar, he entered the Brahmin’s garden, and asked for the man. Brahmin came, and scholar asked Indra: who’s the owner of this garden? Brahmin: I am! Indra: Oh wow, it’s such a beautiful place, who takes care of it? Brahmin: me! Indra: did you planted these flowers? Brahmin: yes! Indra: and what of those flowers? Brahmin: that was also me. Indra: did you plant them by your hands? Brahmin: yes! Whose else hands am I supposed to use if not mine? Indra: did you also water them by your own hands? Was it really you? Brahmin: of course it was me, but why do you ask such obvious questions… Indra: if everything was done by you, my friend, then was it just to kill a damn cow that you called on for the Indra to take on the responsibility??? And hence, says the Sage Markandeya, that Brahmin never created the garden nor he killed the cow! But it was the Brahmin who created the garden and he was the one who killed the cow. You do everything and yet, You don’t do anything! It’s just the will of Narayan. Which takes on the different forms and actions. So never give refuge to your ego, for that makes you a sinner. Well returning to the normal world, yeh top bht hi top hai😋…
