so did you factor in the costs for staying in hotels and flight tickets, plus trying to speak Hindi when you most probably don't know any ? Your English being unintelligible because its too perfect? Or maybe getting ripped off by vendors because you are foreign? Most top of the line big name designers start at 3 to 4k USD and above even in India and I think the costs are reasonable for a wedding.

The diaspora fashion style often - no matter which culture - is more opulent and “tacky” then the modern original origin country one. You know what I don't understand, Annie initially says her current engagement dress is more like a wedding dress and she wants a softer dress, but how in the world could she suggest/justify even considering the wedding dress for the engagement (at at approx 2.45) like seriously. However, I'm glad it worked out in the end. All the dresses look nice, but the bridesmaid dresses were really ugly and for the price definitely not worth it. We get such a beautiful selection with lots of detail and/or bling for a much cheaper price in the UK. Absolutely love this series! Seen them multiple time 🙈

@joyfuljaj3 жыл бұрын
there are a lot of comments on here about things being outdated (even on some of the more recent episodes). I am white American, so this is all new to me and the dresses pretty much all seem beautiful. What makes them outdated? I looked up some of the well known designers people have mentioned and the biggest difference I could tell is the blouses (choli?) may be more cut out now. Are there differences in patterns or amount of "bling". Is delicate embroidery better than "bling". I had thought at least these dresses seem more worth the price (still way out of my budget) than most traditional American dresses on the popular shows.
@shrutibhatia45342 жыл бұрын
@@joyfuljaj Bridal outfits have changed so much. Now bride's wear any colour they like, not just traditional red maroon pinks...those are worn but with lot of additional colour like pastel, earthy tones, gold or nude tones, neon pink even! Also for design it not necessary to be covered in bling. Besides like people usually talk on the show that even a guest may wear that colour or design, but very fact is no guest will be wearing dupatta on head like veil which makes bride stand out, nor will any guest have that amount of jewellery so noone can really outshine a bride. I bought all my bridesmaid dresses I think that it's rude to ask someone to pay when they're doing you a favour by being in your wedding. My bridesmaids paid for their shoes but I paid for everything. Some of them asked to,pay but I did t want them to.

If they insisted that the bridesmaids wear these Dresses, the groom and bride shouldve paid the extra 100$ for everyone.. in my opinion🤷♀️

@lowlyffangirl10255 жыл бұрын
What bothered me was that the shop owner kept repeating that the first dress Annie laid her eyes on was a wedding dress and not an engagement dress. Seriously?? Who cares if she wants to wear the dress on her engagement and not on the wedding day? There is no rule to what kind of dress one should wear on their wedding or engagement day! I found it absurd because everyone has their taste and they can wear it accordingly! That's why i hate some shop keepers because they pressure you into buying something else just because they think it doesn't fit into a certain theme.

Watching this show back and it was so much better than the new season it didn’t rely on drama because you got to know their personalities and stories.

Horrible blingy unclassy choice for a bridesmaid dress and that too so expensive.
@ssuleiman126 жыл бұрын
R V $300 is actually really not that expensive for a dress for a wedding that you’re standing up in. I spent that much on my prom dress. You’re a bridesmaid, I would spend $500 on a dress.
@irhathemcd92836 жыл бұрын
In Indian tradition it’s all about bling not plain and simple so it’s actually not a bad choice but hey that’s ur opinion

Very talented, patient, creative. I wish you much prosperity and growth for many years to come. Thank you for the wonderful show.
