I thought I would shoot a quick video and do a tour of my music room. My music room encompasses my whole basement and was built courtesy of my wonderful wife.

8:08 one of my favourites right there, A-ha. they are one of the few bands in the whole world (for me) that have sooo many goooood songs. im soo glad so see an american having some stuff from em, i really love the hunting high album, their second and a-ha Minor Earth Major Sky. i actually prefer their 00s songs most, Lifelines, summer moved on, Velvet, Foot on the mountain etc, but i gotta love their rock n roll stuff, like I`ve been loosing u. bless u

Looks killer man .. I'm actually waiting on a few more components and a little more ambition to do mine .. I prefer to store lps face first and I'm trying to find a new shelve so I'm able to do so. Fun video nice gear too

Very cool I love Depeche Mode as well I thought I had a lot of Depeche Mode I did sell off a lot of the older singles and I don't own the first 2 LPS but I have quite a bit I was thinking of making a video I have a lot of the other stuff except for sounds of the universe I bought a really nice UK press but I sold it on eBay to me it wasn't very good anyway you're very lucky to have all that memorabilia and so many records but as you know it's lots of work thanks again for sharing enjoy your video

Killer setup, a true music fan's bunker...26 boxes though, a lot of work involved in this collecting music thing isn't there! I like how you have your CD's organized too, I have struggled with those, never came across any shelves in more recent times that work well. Right now I have mine in these Rubbermaid drawer boxes which fit the CD's perfectly so you can pull out a drawer and browse the spines - functionality is great but visually they look kind of junky, I need to find some sort of shelf where I can stack and display them better. Cheers!
@nazznomad7 жыл бұрын
Fat City Vinyl I wish these cd shelves were sold still. It's much the reason why so many of my CDs are in storage. Thanks for the kind words, my music room is my safe place :)

Hey David, I really enjoyed this tour; my jaw hit the ground when you revealed how many LP's you have 😱. Wow! Hey you mentioned fixing up record players & gifting them; have you ever messed around with Pioneer quartz drive decks?? My sister has "lucked up" on a PL-640 but it needs a cartridge... If you have any tips you can share, I'd really appreciate it man... I am really diggin' you channel btw

U gotta understand that some people may have other opinions than you and they are free to dislike if they dont like ur room

All good. Im kidding man
@ccww95 жыл бұрын
@@natichan16 People are free to dislike anything, but what's the point? A difference of opinion is one thing. Maybe it is just people don't like the choice of music? I have no idea. But I just don't see the point of disliking everything. I don't like country music, but I don't go seeking country music videos to dislike. It's a cool set up even if a few have other ideas lol

SPEAKERS???
@livinaftermidnight96517 жыл бұрын
Very nice setup but I have just one critique and it's more of a personal peeve.The right hand speaker as you watch the vid is blocking the shelves of records. I assume you just move the speaker to get to the records but to me it's in the way. Other than that, awesome room.Now for a question, does the Marantz receiver have 2 phono inputs or are or do you have pre-amps tucked away somewhere?
@nazznomad7 жыл бұрын
Lance Van Pietersom The rack that the speaker blocks, I don't need to access that area often as it's 12" singles I use for DJing so I really only need to access that area every now and again so not really an issue for me to be honest. The Marantz has a built in pre-amp so no need for an external one. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it :)
@markcovington81595 жыл бұрын
Hey David. What would you do if any of the vinyl records you play you notice some skipping on any of your vinyl record albums & no matter how hard you try you can't get the record album to not be skipping while it's playing? :) What would you do about that particular record album after that? :)

You need to sell half of those cds and records and get yourself a High End system would be more beneficial than having records ya dont listen to sitting on the shelves .
@cootaloot7 жыл бұрын
What about the speakers? I don't believe that they're mentioned.
@nazznomad7 жыл бұрын
cootaloot the speakers are Canadian built and I got them at cost as they were very overpriced at the time. Nuance they were called and good speakers for what I paid but retail price were inflated.
@cootaloot7 жыл бұрын
I like Canadian speakers for the most part. I've no experience with Nuance but have owned four or five different PSB models and heard a couple of Paradigm models. Love the Marantz 6200 and wish I'd bought one when they were more affordable.

You never said what the speakers are ?
@nazznomad7 жыл бұрын
They are Canadian made Nuance and model number escapes me. I used to work for the store that sold them locally and got them at cost but like I was telling someone else who commented, they are really good speakers but sold at an incredibly inflated price so they have a bit of a bad reputation.
