Pretty hard to maintain composure when the refs are dirty. That kings-Lakers series is arguably the biggest robbery in NBA history, and watching this game again, the refs werent exactly fair during that 4th quarter, and im a MJ fan.

I was at that game; thought we had a Game 7 at the start of the fourth. I was outside in the hallway lamenting that to my wife on a pay phone when I heard the roar after Bobby Hansen’s shot at the start of the last period. Needless to say, that comeback, with MJ on the bench was phenomenal. I made the mistake of leaving the Stadium too quickly to avoid the potential rioting and missed out on the team coming back onto the court (this was not done in those days). I left oh, maybe one minute before that. Bummer…..

Eh I understand the regret but I probably would have done the same thing in 1992. The stadiums surrounding area was so damn sketchy and not a place to be at night time. Funny enough they did riot after the game so it was probably for the best. The most important thing is you got to see the first Chicago home championship in the most incredible way possible. I cannot imagine the roar of that place when the score kept getting closer and closer.

Weirdly, when I was teenager I was also at the Kenny Holtzman no-hitter against the Braves and was startled when fans went onto the field after the last out. I did not know he had a no no going. Trivia question: who made that last out? My favorite player of all-time, Henry Aaron. He also hit a home run where the wind pushed the ball back on the field and Billy Williams (yeah, he was in left that day) managed, barely, to corral it.

Portland was a damn good team with Porter and Dexler leading from back deep bench on guard position also Petrovic and Ainge. They played Petrovic to little he could never find himself as a bench player good he went to Nets and avaraged 22 before he died. Petro was a 20-25 ppg player in the league. If they played him 100% start he would probably be the best shooter in the league.

Nowadays these shooters shoot too well but with the defense from then these now players getting injured easily. Some players then fit better now other players now fit back then.
