87 was just too physical. Difference between that team and the 85 team was that they got bigger and better play from the PF position. Thompson joined the team after being a double double guy with Portland and A.C. Green elevated his play into the starting lineup. That created better scoring opportunities compared to Rambis. Last thing is that team was built to beat the Celtics that beat the Rockets that beat the Lakers the year before. 00-01 was a good team but they wouldn't have an answer to the athleticism of Scott, Worthy and Green. Kobe could stick Magic but I think Fisher and Fox would have a field day dealing with Scott and Worthy.
