I'm not planning on buying this game even though I love basketball, I hate that I have to spend hundreds just to enjoy the game. I've honestly been fine making my own rosters on 2k16 even though there's no online 😂. This Franchise's only goal is to make money and they've done so by marketing overpriced nonsense to kids and gamers with no other options... I want 2k to be good but I really hope people understand what they're paying for and that it's only downhill if we let them get away with their scummy tactics a reskin and added bloat doesn't warrant a full price rerelease with no carryover and additional micro/macrotransaction!! This system needs to be illegal. It’s so predatory that it’s mind blowing. I only buy 2k once every 3-4 years but I might stop even doing that. Nobody has time to grind my career for a whole year just to have to be 60 overall when I spend $70 when the new game drops. Pretty much $70 for the same game with upgrades. 2k needs to be free to play with updates every year just like cod war zone at this point.

I imagine it would just give cosmetics and maybe things like +2 mid range shot arm sleeve or something like that. I am hoping that 2k with become cheaper with the more years going by if the seasons pass is a big hit.

I always wait until 2k is $20 during All Star break and play 2k23 with updated rosters until then. All 2k does mainly is copy and paste their game, rinse and repeat. Every other year they may add something new. My team, same crap. My career same crap. NBA eras was my favorite mode for 2k23.

I havent played 2k since 2k18. I told myself and others that I would buy 2k24 just because my favorite player Kobe was returning to the cover since 2k10. But I could bring myself to spend money on a game before watching reviews and it seems 2k has reached a new low. Think I'll hold out for more reviews but as it stands looks like im continuing my 2k boycott.

It's what i'm gonna do because I have heard some positive things but certainly not enough for $100+, instead probably in a couple months there will be a bundle with vc for $60ish that seems like much better value! There's a reason GTA V is still alive and thriving and nobody cares about the last 3 2k's. This video is why we but mt so myteam is good and we actually play park we get like a whole build out of that we usually play like 2k games like 200-300 vs per game not including pro am where I get like 1k per game and I play at least 100 pro am games in a season another 60-100k I just spend about 100$ on the game and another 50$ to get my build to an 90 then actually play the game and grind that makes the game worth playing if you just play to have 99 builds and maxed MyTeams you are not playing the game you are just trying to be better but you are actually not like I can beat a 99ovr on a 75ovr just because he spent more money dosent mean he can beat me if you spend 200$+ on builds then just delete the game

Totally agree you can play without spending extra money!!! I just wish they'd make the game around not having to grind... I also try not to buy VC but this year I caved because Builds are SOOO expensive! If they'd just take Microtransaction BS out of the game and properly make systems designed for the $70 game I'd be all for it. No need for you to have to play 500 games at 75% win rate for a single build, I understand it's possible but only enjoyable for the top 1-5% imagine having a 45% win rate... you'll get one build all year! I actually agree visually and technically if you're playing with ProPlay on Next Gen it'll be the best game they've released but lack of innovation and overabundance of microtransactions makes the game not worth the price tag especially if you already have a previous game... shouldn't be punished for wanting to be able to play extra builds and get clothing.
