Yeah the cap breakers are a money grab. If you wanna stunt your day one build to accommodate for cap breakers months down the line you will be at a disadvantage. Folks are just gonna remake builds as they get more cap breakers. This is not a perk people, it’s a money grab.

Unc, I think these cap breakers will be really cool for if you make multiple builds. You have your main build, but then you can design a build around cap breakers too. Kinda like how in 2k19&20 how we would leave our physicals at 91's because we knew wed get + 4 to all physicals with gym rat and +4 to all attributes when grinding to 99

Yes it will - I have a semi-demi god right now 6'6 PG , 86 DRVG DUNK , 92 3BALL , 85 PER D , 87 ACCELL , 92 BALL HAN , cap breakers right now would be able to make me get contact dunks and give me access to limitless range on gold - the max potential raitings for my dunk is like 94 , Its OD - the thing is to get all of them we just have to play multiple seasons to get them

Season 5+ is where the superstars will begin appearing. When player building, stop just short of the points that unlock those critical badges & animations. We know the points that cross badge thresholds always cost more when character creating. Let your cap breakers carry you to those critical badge and animation thresholds and you'll have a monster. This is also how 2k keeps you spending mon... i mean creating characters into the late seasons when ppl definitely slow up creating 😅. They know the game You're welcome.

Sadly no. If let’s say you make a 6’8 player with a max potential within the builder of an 85 ball handle, cap breakers are not going to get you passed 85, which are the limitations set by the players height and wingspan. you basically handicap your build on the super expensive attribute ratings to make you’re build more well rounded. If your builds max potential 3 ball is a 94, instead of maxing it out in the builder, you would leave it at a 91 instead to save attribute points to put elsewhere now, and use +3 cap breakers on your 3 point raiting later. As an example that is. Its a pretty convoluted system designed to make people spend more money lmao

Once i see the level that’s needed to get the cap breakers i’ll set a realistic goal to use them, this could be the best builder we’ve ever had. I hope it is relatively easy for the overall community to at least get 5 CBs and the other 10, players have to put some real time in to really make something crazy. And as a legend reward why not 15 more cap breakers?😳

The question is will everyone be able to enjoy cap breakers without no living the game. The rep system is not built for casuals or people with lives outside of 2k. maybe 2k could take a page out of call of duties leveling system

I understand your thought process in this video, but I think that once people figure out how to min/max the builder, and find the thresholds for animations and badges, those who get these cap breakers will essentially have superstar builds.

Correct. Once we figure out what matters, people are just going to min max based on thresh holds which will make your build way cheaper to make within the builder thus making your build way more well rounded because you can just throw the cap breakers on the expensive attributes to carry you to badges/animations if you’ve grinded enough. If it had been a true cap braker system like a lot of people thought, it would almost incentivize making less builds because you could just end up turning anything into a demi. 2k love money boy I tell you

I am willing to bet you can pay for cap breakers. This is 100% going to make the builds over powered. take agent 3 on a small, for example. you needed a 94 on HOF 92 got it to gold. those 2 points are the difference between an 80 driving dunk and 91 driving dunk. if this is behind a paywall, this game will die.

For those that didnt know there is a such thing as cap breaker in NBA 2K24 I have a 5'10 slasher 86 dunk only contact dunks i have equipped are pro contact. Not only that i buy layup and dunk boost and when im in finishing takeover or sometimes without i Have done Elite ALLEY OOP contact dunks AS well as small I caught Bodies WITHOUT having these animations unlocked PLEASE Demi SPEAK ON THIS LOL ITS NOT A NEW FEATURE FOR 2025 IF YOU DIDNT KNOW IT WAS ALREADY IN 2024 my youtube shorts shows me catching bodies with no animations unlocked for them
