As a pass first point guard , it’s frustrating playing with random rec warriors . Nobody cuts , nobody sets screens , nobody sets off ball screens . Everybody just stands around trying to play the worst form of 5 out with no communication. Then you have players who still don’t understand the steals in the passing lane is op . If you don’t know how to control the ball as a guard you will lose to turnovers and missed shots . The icing on the cake is that once the ball leaves the point guard hands it don’t come back 😂😂😂

This is a problem fr but the community is definitely the most toxic community I’ve ever seen and I played the original cod mw3. I play with my bro a lot so we play squads and will get 3 ppl we don’t know on our squad. They will play buddy ball the whole time until they quit because we are getting destroyed due to lack of ball movement, pg dribbling the clock out and they are putting up numbers like 5-15. Meanwhile my bro and me are both 2-2. Literally the Ai teammates are better. More often than not when our teammates quit we end up coming back and winning. It’s wild out there

As a pg I just put on 78 passing especially in random rec doesn’t matter how high your passing is you can dot ppl wide open and they still want to dunk it on two or three ppl best bet way to win in random rec is the pg lockdown the other pg and win that match up and the center manage the paint and win his matchup usually you win if the center and pg on point! If people want to play solo basketball their is starting 5 for that!

The game isnt good by any means. It still isnt bad either. Put it against another basketball game that isnt 2k and it will probably win. Just stinks that if you aren’t completely trying your hardest you will probably suck. Yes many of the problems are due to user error. Like trying to squeeze a pass through the whole defense. But things that should be easy to do (layups for example) just dont work right. The players need to accept responsibility AND the company needs to work on a better product

On 25 it could be wide open and it still might not go in if you dont have the tiny arrow exactly in the center. I think the meter is the main issue. It doesnt work. I wont bother without the meter because no layup seems to be timed up with the release of the ball. I just dont understand why they would change something that worked. Im seeing countless layups missed in the rec

I started playing 2k25 my career more serious this year and playing a ton of online instead of offline. I’m playing as a pg and play random rec. I know I make a few mistakes a game and I know that I am not perfect at the game. However, yesterday I played the game with my 92 pass acc pg build and got a rebound. I then passed it up to about the half court line a little bit after and it was a terrible pass. It was thrown behind him and gets that little bump of the ball animation and bounced out. 92 PASS ACC. Then I’ll see a big with 75 pass accuracy make some across the court with ease. I have ledgers diner. Silver break starter, and bronze bail out(might be another passing badge but I’m not sure). That is where I find that it is 2k’s fault when mistakes are made. 50/50 balls going primarily to the offense and white shots that go in on light or even tight pressure. I’m not a stud at the game by any means but I’m the rec I’m getting 13/8/2 with 54% from 3 and to see all of these errors that are out of my control is where the community is getting at.

List of things that needs to be patched 1.Loose ball animations/ gravitate back to offense 2. Missing wise open dunks 3. Layup timing/ dunk meter should be more consistent. Too many different timing/ animations that fluctuate to give an accurate idea of when to release 4. Less RNG overall. Understand the catering to the masses but truth is making the game easier doesn't mean IQ increases. In fact it makes people play worse. Most people are not really average skill wise, and typically you know this when they start complaining about 2-3 zone, pick and roll vs 5 out, meta builds etc.. to combat this each mode should be based on hoop status AND the difficult of the game (high risk/ low risk) etc.. 5. Match making for all modes even park. Leave the city how it is but when you load up do your emotes and start the game

It's both but that's no excuse for 2k to put out a bad product! PERIOD! I've been playing solo in 2k for the last few years so I've adapted to playing with randoms. You get some good ones you get some bad ones, whatever. But the missteps in this game are unacceptable especially now that we're in November and it just seems to keep getting worse. For the $$ that I spend I want a playable game. PERIOD.

I personally enjoyed the game, but there are issues in the game that have to be changed for it to be a good basketball game lately. I’ve been experiencing ghost contest while I get light pressure for somebody jumping at me, but I already released the shot Good defense is not rewarded particularly I play a lot of ones and my number one issue is when someone’s out of bounds in the paint and it will still count as a contest as well as the dunk meter issue and how easily people can take you out of dunks no matter what you do

Facts Brute the offense rebounds is broken contest system broken steals broken even with a patch on steals. I do agree all of us at some point make a bad decision in game but you can't keep doing it. One bad ok not four and five decisions in game.

The game definitely has flaws but the community plays a huge part in the game feeling terrible. Everyone makes meta builds or specific builds go exploit cheese. 2k has always been that way but the people who have been playing since 2k14 when park was introduced are now 10 years plus into doing the same shit every year. Add in skill based matchmaking putting them against people closer to their skill level so they lose more and you quickly see why they get online to complain.

They should add report system where all bad players will play each other. This will help avoid the dribble Gods and the cry babies and let them play with each other. Add conduct system. The higher you have, the better teammates. 😊😊

They really need to fix being taken out a dunk animation and the from behind chase down blocks. I'll burn someone on a fast break and every big can't run fast, then all of a sudden presses block and is the fastest and most agile man alive. Jumping from beyond the free throw line to meet you at the rim while your dunking from behind you. That stuff is just whack. The shot contests letting people some have play to make some contested shots seemed like a good idea. But in reality, it has people taking 100x more shots instead of passing because they made 1 greened yellow. You reward bad play, people will just play hero ball and you lose by 40 points. It's not fun. Also 3v3 at this point needs a reach in rule, or foul outs. Because 3v3 is just having some one reach in ever single possession until the steal happens because if you foul, you just reset. There is no real penalty for it. So for that whole 21 point game you just dealing with 3 people fouling until they get the out come they want. You basically have throw your teammate grade out the window cause people dont care if they have a D+with 40 reaches. As long as they stop you and eventually steal the ball.

These 2k players will pay 70 bucks for the game. An extra 100 for their builds. Spend all day playing and not going to work. Neglect family. Think they are good because they can iso. Yet what makes you good is being a great teammate and putting the team first. The average 2k player plays and spend money on a game they not even good at its beyond mental. I get why they play 2k because their decision making in any other game will have them back in the lobby after 2 minutes landing at a POI..

Here’s the thing about the game. People are still trying to play every new iteration of the game like it’s 2K 16 that’s what people say they want in the KZbin community. The issue is that there are some of us that want to move forward away from the spamming dribbles and running into a crowd of 10 people and trying to dunk the ball and being able to a lot of people are saying I have contact dunk so I should be able to not be pulled out of the animation not understanding that a contact don’t doesn’t mean you can just go up on someone. You can go up on someone if they don’t have position and your landing. Space is clear. That’s the logic for contact that’s why your dunk changes mid air is if you’re landing space isn’t clear

The majority of the community is really bad at the game but they get to have opinions and they are the majority so 2k will always acquiesce… shooting is hard make it easy nerf steels passing is hard nerf interceptor…. Steals off of catching rebounds, blocks on the way down after jumping, and having to deal with yall stanks is my only issues

We need circle permanently because after season 1 we are not able to exit the rec only when you win. If you dont close app before you leave the rec. The game starts with the trash nikkas you just played with. Also rebounding steals like wtf they bring back old bugs for from other 2k smh

Game is inconsistent. They spend too much time and money on nonsense. Proof, the Half Court shot in Mycareer, has no bearing on us as players, yet we endure it and the Devs spent money and time adding this. The clear issue for the game is simple. There are two camps: Casual and Hard Core. Problem is we have no way of splitting the camp, so the game becomes boring. I been saying it for a long time. PRO AM with 2k, should mimic how England does their Soccer League. You have the top division, then you have divisions below. Top three move up, bottom three move down. You sign up as a team, compete, generate league stats and run seasons. Pro Am is not much different than Rec, I came back this year, 5 year break.

My only problem is a block under the rim is the worst thing u can do. It’s been this way for years. The rebound steals … been that way for years… the over emphasis of steals on defense as the only means of defense is apparent… like it’s the only stat that matters on defense. Defensive rebound is the worst attribute when it should override all unless it’s matched. The random animations on the baseline u get that make u go out of bounds. I hate that is seems they only put bad catch animations in the game u can be two feet away and throw it off someone head. The fact self ally’s are more reliable than lay ups and dunks… sorry I mean open lay ups and dunks. All of these things to me are terrible. Without mentioning the shooting.

New game same problems. Majority of players go to online modes, just to play solo game. They want to be stars in a movie about themselves, so other 4 players in team are just background crowd for them. Imho grade system is bad. It needs 2 changes. One is rewarding teamplay over individual actions, screens, assists, good passes, spacing should be rewarded more than dunks and shooting. Rn penalty for dumb TO is way less than reward for bucket, even if it was heavy contested layup etc. Second thing should be change in matchmaking, instead of "colour plate" based it should be "avg grade" based. If you'll want to play with good players, you'd need to play team basketball to get good grades. If you'll go for "hero ball" you'll get players with same attitude as you have, to taste your own medicine...
