I loved this all star game it brings back so many memories. I remember waiting for this at 3am to watch and recording the game in the vhs. There was no youtube, iphone, or internet that time so that makes it even more suspenseful I was excited to see my idol iverson play and also jordan who came back from retirement. I cannot forget tmacs dunk that was like the dunk of the year. Kobe was the best player here and im sad that the hometown fans booed him. Even tho it wasn’t a close game, it sure was competitive and fun. The west roster was really dominant during that time
@jiezhangjzmobee81023 жыл бұрын
The real reason Jordan came out of retirement: He saw the way Class 96 had developed into superstars and said: Oh no, I ain't missing all that fun!
@xXEliminatorXx993 жыл бұрын
Gotta love how much joy & fun Jordan had playing this game.
@Trancymind9 ай бұрын
The biggest shocker wasn't MJ coming back to an all star but the booing towards Kobe throughout the game and even lifting his MVP award. That is so embarrassing to this day. I have never witnessed an athletes hometown booing you for almost 20 years straight including playoffs. What a betrayal on a different level. This is why Kobe mentality was tough to break and wound winning more medals later in his career.
@jiezhangjzmobee81029 ай бұрын
Kobe grew up in the league with the press going against him, he had to earn his place every step of the way. Which shaped the "I'ma prove you wrong!" mentality he dealt wtih his team, the press and the public. MJ and LBJ and other stars all had some negative publicity too but not nearly as much as Kobe's.@@Trancymind
