The 1993 NBA All-Star Game took place on February 21, 1993, and was an exhibition game played between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the Utah Jazz. This was the 43rd edition National Basketball Association all-star game played during the 1992-1993 season. The Western Conference went on to beat the East 135 to 132 in overtime.[1] The All-Star Weekend then wrapped up with the slam dunk competition, won by Harold Miner from the Miami Heat, and the three-point shootout, won by Mark Price from the Cleveland Cavaliers.[1] The regular season then continued on Tuesday, February 23, 1993.[2]

bro I was blown away with this. so this is how when all best players competed. I feel like with the current all star we are being robbed with this kind of experience I started thinking how will it be with this today's all stars competing like this. I guess the closest is maybe the 2020 or something when they have a target score but that's it.

Phil Jackson won 6 titles with the Bulls, 5 with the Lakers,...and had no real point guard in any of em' (sorry Derek Fisher, ...a good clutch player btw). Because MJ and Kobe dominated the ball even in the triangle. HOWEVER, if the Bulls had Isiah in 1993, Jackson would have adapted, because especially at this point of his career, Isiah was a pass first point, and still one of the best point guards in the game. Jordan would have scored more "easier" buckets too, because Isiah was arguably the best dribbler in the game, and an elite passer - he ALWAYS looked for Jordan in all-star games (and Pippen woulda scored more on cuts/slashing moves as well). But Jordan didn't like Isiah, and Pippen ESPECIALLY didn't like Isiah (and vice versa), so trading for Isiah would have never happened.

More "woulda coulda" stuff: Isaiah retired in 94 after ripping his achilles. However, if he was a Bull at that time, maybe he doesn't get injured, and he would have made the Bulls more competitive in Jordan's absence (when Jordan retired after 93 season)...and maybe, just maybe.... Isaiah and Scottie would be buddies.... hahahaha!

@@keymachariggins2242 But it seemed like they meshed well on the court here almost 6 months later after the Olympics. MJ would have played if Isaiah was on the team, especially if Isaiah didn't make those remarks about Magic & Bird prior to the selection process. They played with each in the 92 all star game & in the summer of 1991 at Magic's charity game after being swept by the Bulls. Mike did not give a damn. He may had not liked Isaiah but he would have not been that petty to keep someone off a team or not play, he was too competitive for that. Magic & Bird still held a lot of weight in BBall bc they made the NBA 'National' like the NFL (MJ made the NBA International after the fact) MJ not liking I.T. was just a scapegoat excuse bc he was the Headline Name of the Olympics. Everybody else on the team not liking Isaiah was the sprinkles on the sundae.

Price was extremely underrated. I used him and Daughtery in NBA Jam back in the day along with the Magic, Warriors, and Knicks. He could stroke it from anywhere and he had excellent IQ. Him and Petrovic would be a problem in today's NBA. I also like how Zeke and MJ had a natural feel for the game as teammates. It would've been just illegal if MJ got drafted by the Pistons in '84.

One of the last great All Star games in NBA history. These guys didn't "skip" the game due to injury, family stuff, etc they played....and they played HARD. The Slam Dunk contest/3pt contest are for specialists, let them do their thing. Harold Miner was unreal in the dunk contest. He might of been a flash in the pan in the league, but what most people don't know is that he was also a deadly 3pt shooter in 1993-1994. He was a shooting guard that could could hit a 3pointer and also drive to a dunk. He was very impressive and exciting to watch. If he sees this comment, I hope he is healthy and doing something positive

I haven't watched an All Star game in years, but the short clips I've watched and scores in the 200s tell me it's just a dunk fest and not a competitive game like this was.
