Del's barometer or criteria of assessing how great a player is so idiotic. He never assesses the true impact of the given great player on his team's chances to win or not. It's like his eye test only sees the player's skillset and highlights, but not what it does for the team's chances to win the game. KD has many flaws to his game, and he would score at least 24 ppg in any era, but his percentages and efficiency would go down in any more physical era outside of the defensively weak 2010s and 1960s. KD does not handle physicality well, he never has.

I feel like saying KD was better than Lebron back in 2013 is like saying Melo was better than Lebron back in 09, that’s real nasty to say. Did KD really impact the game like that even back then? We can’t just look at how you score with the eye test. Melo probably can score better than anybody with the eye test cause he can handle the ball well, he got midrange, he can shoot the 3 and he plays very physical especially when he’s in the post but Melo never impacted the game like a Lebron. I feel like winning & how you win counts a lot. Someone like Kobe proved he can counter the narrative of how he won by winning a chip without Shaq. The narrative of Kobe was that he got carried by Shaq but he countered that argument with those two rings in won with Pau. Until KD can win without GS, why do u Dell have to give KD all this credit? Those rings were easy for KD & it’s being proved right now cause he might get swept without a super stacked deck. KD eye test wise has flaws with his handles with the high dribble he has & the same old hesi pullup move he always does which is only effective when he has space with no real physical D and he has no real go to moves or great footwork. KD’s ability has more to do with size than really his skill. KD is 7 foot with long arms so he has the advantage of shooting over u but there’s not a lot of intricate details on how KD scores like a MJ, Kobe, Kyrie or Hakeem. I respect how you played ball Del & how u see the game through a hooper’s eyes but how certain players get ranked or viewed can’t be just by their aesthetics, their has to be more to that

1. Dels argument is horrible. Anyone can be a willing passer. But if a team is making it difficult for you to make those passes, you have to tip your cap to the defense. Boston plays great individual and team defense. Its literally why KD was struggling. Its not like he's a great facilitator. Boston's defense made him look incompetent in that area bc their team defense is stellar. 2. Through both 3peats, go check Jordan's stats. All diminishing from year 1 to year 3. I think there's something to be said for the mileage you accumulate over time going deep into the playoffs. The team around you can absolutely alleviate that.

KD is choking but I’ll say this I think Nash needs to use Aldridge. Aldridge provides midrange gravity in the P&R when he’s setting a screen and shooting a pick & pop midrange. Having Drummond & Claxton set a ball screen for KD & Kyrie in the P&R won’t provide good spacing cause the Cs can defend the ball handler so well with double & triple teams cause the Nets bigs are non-shooters & they don’t worry about them rolling to the rim. Also u got Bruce Brown who’s not a good shooter either & he occupies the same space as Andre & Nic near the dunker spot, so the spacing is extra bad. There’s not enough shooters out their for KD & Kyrie to operate. Curry and Dragic aren’t enough amount of shooters to give KD & Kyrie space. Nash refusing to use Kelson Edwards who’s a decent 3 point shooter too hurts their main superstars effectiveness too And the Nets cut James Johnson & Harris is out with injury.
