05:45 it's funny Mario Balotelli is possibly one of the worst signings Liverpool ever made, and I am a die hard Liverpool fan BUT.......I can't help but love Mario the guy is just a character and I just want dude too succeed, and ability wise, the guy is a beast He grew up in Italy as an Orphan, his blood parent obviously African, Italian foster parents, and Italian fans are VERY hard to win over, but when you do they will die for you and Mario has earned that stature in the Italian game. He came to England with Man City where he always showed ability but was considered a bit wild and a loose cannon, then he joined Liverpool on a pretty low cost transfer fee but was the biggest name of that transfer window and was also being seen as a potential replacement for the likes of Suarez and before that Torres. At the time he signed he was considered a gamble but due to the fee, if he performed, a potential bargain. It did not work out for him at Liverpool and he came at the peak of Liverpool's darkest time in the last 50 years in terms of league performance and club stature, but despite all this and most player around at this time having a stigma of being just below standard, I look back fondly on Mario Mario , everyone knew was exceptionally talented as well as having natural physical attributes in pace height and power, he never performed quite too his potential (as was the case at Manchester City) but if I had to give a list of the top 5 most naturally gifted/talented strikers I have ever seen Balotelli would possibly make that top 5 list, certainly a top 10. In terms of full filling potential I would have him WAY !!! down the pecking order, but natural ability? Mario Balotelli literally could have been a multiple Balon D'or Winner he could have been a genuine contender for best striker of all time , had he lived up to his ability, but I'm not sure he ever did. If he did , it would be his time in the Italian leagues. Always thought his story was kinda mad and his ability also , but he is also a 100% Maverick, dude just does what Balotelli does and I cant fault him for just being himself , and I cant help but love the dude, despite him playing pretty average for my team. I rate his ability and will always feel what could have been as I am sure many Man City fans feel the same.
