I’m from Lawrence, Kansas, so I watched probably every game he played at KU. Gradey is phenomenal at getting people off their feet and attacking the paint. He for sure needs to add strength and some pace to his drives, but there was a layup or two damn near every game where he’d go up, it would look like he took off from too far, and he’d just double pump mid air around the defender and throw up a layup you’d think would never go in, but more times than not, it did. He has natural touch, he just needs a better feel for when to take off and when to keep his dribble alive, he picks it up prematurely far too often for a guy who’s an average athlete

Good comparison, they are similiar in size. However, from the start they were seen differently. Braun was recruited decently as just inside a top-100 player with a few offers including Kansas. He matured for 3 years at Kansas and went pro. Gradey Dick was highly recruited everywhere as a McDonald's All American, and the Gatorade National High School POY. Dick's jump shot was seen as truly elite, and he had grown into a true 6'8" frame and was quickly projected a Lottery pick. Braun is deceptively athletic and uses sheer determination with really good basketball IQ. He's turned into an amazing slasher and cutter at Denver with a good jumper. But Gradey is a truly gifted shooter, the form is as good as it gets. Dick's release is so fast and balanced, there is no reason he can't make his midrange as good as it has been this year consistently. He should improve at the rim as he also has a 40 inch vertical. Braun will make a great living in the league, but he will never be a "pure" shooter. Dick should be close to an all star eventually with his Miller-esque jump shot. And yes! We say Rock Chalk Jayhawk! Sorry for the paragraph! Definitely two of the best players actually born in Kansas in a long time!

Miller comparison I would say is spot on. Watching Grady play and I definitely see similarities to their games . A pump fake couple dribbles n drive . Nothing fancy but effective. If you got a good jumpshot pump fakes will keep your defender of balance just as good as some handles .
