A large part of the problem for US sports is that it's all about business, family friendly, TV-friendly fun. It's not passion in the way. They will never allow half of it because they might get sued due to a fan banner, a fan throwing a beer, flares, the song content being offensive etc. etc. etc. Aris (the yellow guys with flares and stuff. They're from Greece) fans see the club and all the sports they play as the pride of their city, community etc. A lot of the fans will watch all kinds of sports. As long as it's Aris playing they'll be there and support it. The Greek clubs in particular seem to be multi-sport clubs so you may see them play basketball, football/soccer, volleyball and all kinds of shit.

I don't think its a difference of passion. Americans must love their clubs as much as ours. I just think when people in Europe are not expressive in life in general, we often contain ourselves but when there is too much emotion we do not know how to keep still. We all release, as in demonstrations or others. I also think that the big difference is in the staging of the sport. In America there are songs, performances and dancers during and before the matches, which contains the public, but unfortunately it cannot work here, the supporters will never accept it and it will quickly create conflicts, football is too important here to leave room for other entertainment. UEFA still makes music with a famous singer in every first match and opening of the World Cup. It's just different personalities who react differently. You should look at what is happening in the cities of Europe where a club wins an important game, it is total anarchy in the streets but it is the magic of football.

Yo can you react to la galaxy vs lafc? A couple years back los Angeles had 2 teams, la galaxy and chivas usa. Chivas usa was owned by chivas Guadalajara from Mexico hence the name chivas usa. I was a season ticket holder for chivas usa, we hated galaxy with a passion. We even shared the same stadium. We hated seeing galaxy get players like David Beckham, robbie Keane, and Landon Donovan. They were the best team in mls and we absolutely hated them. Chivas usa was supported mostly by Mexicans because of their ties to chivas from Mexico. Fast forward a couple years later and chivas usa goes bankrupt, chivas usa no longer existed. Chivas usa fans refuse to support la galaxy because of the hatred we have for them. A couple years later, lafc is created and all the chivas usa fans who have been missing their club finally found a club to support again. Before their first game in 2018 lafc already had supporters, mainly old chivas usa fans and Mexicans. Lafc built their stadium in the heart of LA, in South central, home to blacks and Mexicans, bloods and crips , Kendrick lamar and ice cube, Nipsey hussle and dr dre, kobe Bryant and magic Johnson. They built their stadium in the hood. They built their stadium for us. Finally we had a real team who supported LA. LAFC is based in the hood, la galaxy has their stadium in Carson, a 40 minute drive from LA thats in the rich white suburbs. Los angelinos knew they don't represent LA. Anyways their first season was great, they won their first game away vs Seattle sounders, they won vs San jose (the cali classico), but next we faced the LA galaxy, the best team in the mls, rhe team with the most history, the team who had just bought zlatan ibrahimovic. The start of a new rivalry is born, el traffico. El traffico is to be played in LA galaxys stadium. Zlatan ibrahimovic arrived 36 hours before the game and didn't even have a training session with his team which is why he didn't start. Lafc scores 3 goals with a beautiful goal by Carlos vela, former arsenal mexican player loved dearly by Mexicans and even known as the mexican messi. Lafc is up 3-0. LA galaxy somehow puts one in rhe back of the net making it 3-1. The stadium is chanting "we want zlatan". Zlatan gets up and makes his way to the field, the crowd goes wild. Zlatan comes in and his teammate scores a goal to make it 3-2. Around the 70th minute zlatan scores the best goal ever scored in mls history, in his debut! He ties it 3-3 and as an lafc fan, the scenes were beautiful. The game goes on and zlatan scores a 92 minute header to make the game 4-3. Its absolutely the best game ever in mls history. It will never be topped for 100 years. I'm proud to be an lafc fans but the scenes were beautiful to watch, it makes me cry everytime. I hope you can watch it.
