I was at work at my desk, and my friend posted the Kobe's Death Article from TMZ in our group chat. I remember saying out loud " What...Kobe Die?!?!" Even my co-workers who are not basketball fans all said "Wait?!?!? What Did You Say?!?!". That was one of the saddest day man just super heartbreaking especially to know Gigi was with him as well.

I was heading to Tokyo from Honolulu the morning Kobe died. Like the two fans, I shrugged it off as a bad joke when I first got an alert on my phone. Then my mood went from looking forward to a nice holiday to a pure swallow and unexplainable sadness. My phone got live CNN broadcast in-flight, and I spent the next 5 hours watching it as the story was developing, until I almost cried myself to sleep for the rest of the flight to Tokyo. 😢

It felt like the whole world stopped for Kobe that day. Im ashamed for not appreciating him before it was too late. My heart never dropped like that for someone I didn’t even know or was even a fan of for that matter. The game lost a great mind that day. He was destined to be an amazing GM or coach. RIP to Mamba and Gigi

I remember i was at the gym just finished my first game and was waiting for my 2nd of the day when my friend told me and i just played it off as one of those hoax death things on the internet and then as time went by more details came out and as my teammates for the 2nd game got there and we were talking about it you can just feel the energy get sucked outta the gym, like nobody wanted to play after the news, it was brutal and then hearing later his daughter was with him was just gut wrenching, ill never forget it

Here's where I'm at with the 100 pt game. It didn't happen. When I was growing up, in the 70s, there was talk of that game, and Wilt lost in spite of the 100 pts, and now they say that his team won. Reminds me of the Berenstain Bears, where when I was growing up it was Berenstein Bears. So we may have went through a time shift, because like I said, Wilt and his team lost in spite of his 100 pts, that's how I remember it.

The day Kobe died is still fresh in my mind. The day before that I was supposed to have a date with my girlfriend but I feel so lifeless that day but I don't have a fever, I just wanted to lay down on my bed the whole day. Even my gf was mad at me because I didn't attend our date. Then 4AM in our time zone (Asia) I just woke up from sleeping. Then I was wondering why I woke up. I just can't figure it out. My brain told me to look up my phone to see my social media but I don't because it will hinder my sleeping. After 10-20 minutes I slept again then when I woke up around 10 AM in our time zone, I saw the news. It feels that part of me died that day. Sometimes, those hunches are telling something. RIP my GOAT Kobe and Gigi.
