Larry could back it up. Realize that the greatest defenders in NBA history guarded him: Rodman, Coop, Glove, Dr J, Worthy. No one could stop him or Jordan. They'd do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. Bird used to wait in the corner for them just to make them waste steps, then tell em' "You ran all that way for nothing". Remember he was King of the 40/50/90 club....LEGEND!!!! 🏀

I had season tickets for the Denver nuggets in 85 and 86, 4 rows in back of Doug Moe. I never missed a Celtics or Lakers game

A credit to all these greats who told and continue to tell these stories.. All of them note that all of this trash talking and gamesmanship was done because he was a fierce competitor... not any other reason as may be suggested in today's times.

In school I averaged only 8 pts a game last game of my career my cousin had to guard me I talked trash entire game and went off for 38 pts my coach was where that been all year just shrugged said it was personal 😊

I liken Kaitlyn Clark as the only potential female version of this man. She has no trash talk but her playing ability, in my opinion is that good. Bird was just different too.

@pokerpat6470 I'm just happy the stories of his playing days and his quick wit and super skills are being told with videos where you can read his lips and it's the same. He proved white men can't jump, they glide
