I'm 55, and I remember watching NBA back when Dr. J. was with the 76ers. Pre-cable in my area, you could catch the all-star game on ABC's Wide World of Sports. So I remember watching all of this as it was happening, and thinking to myself, how is someone so short going to even be able to get near the rim. Talk about sitting up and taking notice after that first dunk! This was amazing to watch! Great memories.

If you haven't already, check out some Tracy McGrady vids. For a few years in his prime he was unstoppable and you'll see some jaw dropping plays he did. On my list of the best players without a ring.

You really should check his mixtape out....Spud was more than a role player, most times he was a 2nd no lower than 3rd scoring option. Every legend you can think of in the 80's, Spud gave em buckets and made it look like light work.

If you like small guys that could bounce, Robert Pack, Kevin Johnson, and Isiah "Zeke" Thomas were all able, and would yam on people. Zeke not so often, but when he did!!! Tim Hardaway Sr. pre injury as well as Steve Francis, Stephon Marbury and Allen Iverson!!!!

No for real man-- I met him once when the Dallas D-League team was getting off the ground. He's shorter than me, and I'm five-eight in shoes.

The spoiled limousine superstars of today brag about being an "athlete" at 6'9" and 260 lbs. If Spud had their height none of them would be in the goat debate...and I don't ever remember seeing him flop or cry on the court.
