One of the VERY few times in NBA history a team down 0-3 forced a game 7

Incredible run they made this year. I can remember being a 9 year old Blazers fan cheerin for the Nuggets like I was from Denver 😂. They played with so much heart.

IIRC, it only happened again 29 seasons later by Boston but lost to Miami.
@coreyrowe4119
@coreyrowe4119 3 ай бұрын
@@OrionOodama It also happened in a 2003 1st round series where Portland fell behind 3-0 against Dallas and then won 3 in a row to force a game 7.

@@coreyrowe4119 Point taken. Appreciate the reminder. I should have re-list these teams that almost break the “3-0 invincibility”.

@@OrionOodama And the frustrating part about Boston losing to Miami is that Boston had homefield in game 7. The other times that it has happened, the team that made the comeback and forced game 7, those teams had to play that game 7 on the road.

factz...not the typical 8th seed, similar to NY in 99. they matched up well with the Sonics that year and Mutombo caused them a lotta problems

This was a great great Nuggets team. Tells you just how great those Jazz teams were. Jordan literally stole rings from multiple dream teamers, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, etc.

Ahh...the drama of the intros! Did you know that Mutombo had another record in his career that nobody talks about?: He never committed a foul in his NBA career! (According to HIM at least!) I like basketball, but I LOVED this game in the 90's. Thanks MDBBall🏀

Jesus the intro music came along with the nostalgic 'This, is the NBA on NBC' it gets me every fking time, it really shows the Golden Ages of 1990s in USA: beating Russians in the Cold War, no terrorism, the hayday of NBA featuring MJ the biggest star ever in the sports history along with another one MJ... man that was something I really want to experience in my time travel fantasy

that Nuggets team was pretty solid wit Mutombo leading them. They weren't the typical 8th seed. They were pretty good at home too

Experience and "greatest executing team in the business" are reasons the Jazz avoided the dubious distinction as first-ever NBA team losing a 7-game affair after leading 3-0. Denver is capable, fresh from upsetting top-seeded Seattle the previous round after down 0-2, an unprecedented first from an eight-seed. Steve "Snapper" Jones quipped in g5 opposite Sonics this young team (Nuggets) is something to look forward to in the years to come. That wasn't the case, as turned out.

Nuggets upset my Supes on the road in 5. And earned every bit of it! I was decidedly rooting for them vs the Jazz at home, and got 3 games in a row on them too. A shame that Denver squad barely lasted a year before it unraveled. It's just too easy to root against Stockton/Malone! I was pleased when Houston got 'em in the WCF & eventually won the title. Olajuwon was the finest Center of his era, that change occuring during Jabbar's late years ('87-'89). The Jazz were one of the premier West teams of the 90s, and never won a Championship. As much as The Mailman was a certain Hall Of Famer & explosive in every way, pick & roll's forever with Stockton... But I loved Dantley for the Jazz in the 1980's more. One of the premier low-post forwards ever! A sure fire mid-range jumpshot & got to the line more than anyone. And less a showboat than Malone. Only blemish would be a black hole/ball hog at times but he won & was a scorer straight up! And didn't mesh well at all with locker room politician Isiah Thomas. He smelled a rat & that was that. Isiah another HOF player & Top 5 point guard All-Time. But one of the biggest dicks All-Time too!

I love the videos, keep'em coming!! Might be a weird request, but can you upload more regular season games from about '95 to '98? Really would like to see more of that rookie class from '96. Appreciate you!

93 to 98 playoff very much all the teams in west and east they were very competitive, well balanced and they delivered all the effort with smile and crying. There was heart for the sport in my youth

The East had a bit of imbalance: there was a thing called Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls I think you’ve heard of them

The East before 2001 had physical imbalance during the Bulls dominance, which made that conference back then into the 1980s was a bloodbath!

Not only would it have been the first ever 3-0 comeback (and the only one as of the end of the 2023-2024 season), but it would have been done by an 8th seed, who also for the first time ever eliminated the 1-seed in the playoffs as an 8th seed
