@@chrisuncleahmad789 Yep. Bulls and Rockets fans were were really happy with their teams in the 90s. Even the Spurs fans were feeling amazing after they won the lottery in 1997. Of course heartbreak for the rest of the league especially fans of: Knicks, Suns, Heat, Magic, Pacers, Sonics, Lakers, Jazz, Cavs, Pistons, Blazers, Celtics (losing out on Tim Duncan). Us Knicks fans are still suffering with Pacers, Suns, Magic, Sonics, Jazz and Blazers fans. It sucks that the best time to be a Knicks fan was in the early 70s when most of us weren't alive.

There is so much in this one game, you could write a book. 1. Michael just being at the top of his game. BJ Armstrong said it best, 'Everyone was playing basketball, and he just figured out how to win the game'. 2. Bogues was just something to behold on the court, and held his own (sometimes). 3. Dell Curry's son goes on to be one of the greatest players in the world. May have been at that game. 4. MUCH more physical back then. 5. Pippen was sooooooo good. One of those dunks he had shuttling past Larry Johnson was mind blowing. 7'3'' wingspan and literally guarded everyone on the floor. A playoff game back then was worth the price of admission.

Alonzo Mourning's last game as a Hornet.

Jordan fouled him at 1 second left.Hornets were a very good team that year. Gave 5 would have been at Charlotte .

It was also Hersey Hawkins' and David Wingate's last games as Hornets. They ended up being part of the Kendall Gill trade just before the 1995-96 season that landed them in Seattle.
@tylerriley25874 ай бұрын
Alonzo did not want to leave Charlotte, and he said he would’ve taken a lot less to stay in Charlotte, but when they told him that you’re not worth what you’re asking, that was an insult. But the Hornet's upper management was terrible. They let many good players go in either trades or free agency because you had an owner who did not want to pay to keep the players. giving Larry Johnson all that money was a big mistake.

It never made sense that the Hornets paid LJ all that money for so many years even after he hurt his back. It ended up costing the Hornets Alonzo Mourning later, who was traded prior to the 1995-96 season cause they couldn't afford him. Especially since LJ ended up becoming a Knick the following summer. Such a shame, because Mourning was the franchise guy they should've built around considering the franchise hasn’t really seen the same type of success or fan support they did back then.
@andresdelportillo99177 ай бұрын
Mourning was never the franchise guy , LJ was and idk why they got rid of him for mase considering that trade bit them in the ass in the 97 playoffs when LJ embarrassed mase and Charlotte and the Knicks would go on to destroy ZO’s Miami team throughout the years. Zo was a black hole on offense and a terrible playmaker

@@andresdelportillo9917”would go on to destroy ZO’s miami team throughout the years.” Lmao How is winning at the buzzer by one two years in a row “destroy”? And “black hole” is just a euphemism meaning a great center surrounded by overrated scrubs…like… well…Larry Johnson.
@tylerriley25874 ай бұрын
Alonzo said he did not want to leave Charlotte, but the business of basketball got in the way. When upper management said to Alonso that you’re not worth what you’re asking, that was an insult right there.

always wondered why MJ didn't wear the shadow black X J's in the 2nd round vs Orlando. I rem he was fined in Gms 1 & 2 of that Orlando series for wearing the XI concord joints cuz they didn't match the black shoes of the team. I felt this was the last year of "Air Jordan". the 96-98 MJ was more of the fadeaway MJ with flashes of the late 80s-mid 90s MJ. He missed the last year and a half of his athletic prime 94 & 95. All the highlights & memories missed in 94 & most of 95, I'm still pissed over that "retirement" in 93 till this day
