No travel. NBA rules allow a gather step (when the dribble is picked up) plus two additional steps before releasing the ball. Perfectly legal and perfectly executed by the assist wizard. 👏🏼

@CardiHack Are you sure you are looking at play no. 4?? If so, you are not counting the steps correctly. Luka controls the loose ball with two hands in a gathering step with his right foot on the floor. He then takes ONE single step with his left foot before dribbling twice. He then picks up his dribble in another gathering step and takes the two (small) allowable additional steps before releasing the ball into the pass. This rule was put in place in 2019 to allow the Harden step back three, the LeBron spin move down the lane, the Euro step, the resetting of the feet in the corner to ensure a three point shot, more fancy handles (dribbles) and passes ... less whistles and more action means more entertainment and more fans not bored in the seats. This is the modern American NBA and we who grew up playing ball in gyms and on playgrounds LOVE IT. ❤️ Anyway, that was perfectly legal and is done a hundred times a night in the league games. Action!! 💯

Can someone explain why 1:53 is impressive, especially for a top 3 play?? It's literally a simple bounce pass to himself.. if anything this should be illegal because he made 2 steps before the throw and then got the ball again which didn't even touch the rim.
