I remember playing in a placement match for the finals and the opposing team had the ball. Guy i was marking had it passed to him but i had him locked in the corner. None of his team near by. Pressure started building we could all feel it. So i just said to him "im here pass it pass it" and he handed the ball straight to me and i set up a layup. The place exploded. He just went blind from the pressure and handed the one team they needed to beat the ball. We lost the finals months later but went the whole way. Ill never forget the feeling of i cant Believe that worked while also barely being able to acknowledge it in the moment

They are fun to see but half of them are what they teach CBs to do to WRs: read body clues about when the ball is coming. WRs counteract this with late hands but they only need to catch the ball. Basketball players don't see this enough to be a real concern and usually have to do something with the ball after they catch it.

Most of these plays are made by looking at the other players eyes, they never lie and they're a key part of passing and shooting, so the last few blocks were indeed impressive but also probably made by looking at the eyes of the person with the ball.
