Number one was a little confusing, but was a smart play with the teammate purposely throwing the ball halfway to Magic, which killed a lot of time, to win the game. That play was akin to play number 11 at 1:15. God Bless.

Either way would've probably been fine, but if Magic had made 2 free throws the Blazers would've had about 2.5 seconds to attempt a 3, whereas this way they had 0.1 second to go 94 feet and tip it in, which is almost impossible. (Under 0.3 seconds a catch and shoot isn't allowed). 93-90 and 91-90 as final scores are exactly the same result, but Magic improved the odds that his team would win in regulation. Of course, if Magic had MISSED both free throws or split them, then the Blazers would've had 2.5 seconds to go the length of the floor and make a 2-point basket-- MUCH better for the Blazers than having only 0.1 seconds.

I agree. I remember watching that live on TV, and when Magic did that I was confused. But then it showed Magic going crazy pointing at the clock. Then I realized, he even faked the timekeeper! The timekeeper froze the clock at 2.2 seconds when it should've kept running. There should've been no time left after that brilliant move. Man, no one else has even come close to the Magic Man in any aspect of the game.
