The early LA Lakers jerseys white and blue where fucking nice looking jerseys. I have the 1972 Wilt Chamberlain Gold jersey and the 1996-1997 Kobe Bryant Gold jersey. The Show Time era jerseys are the best looking most original.

Also, after establishing themselves in MPLS they played one year in the NBL (the league the Gems were in) winning an NBL title before moving to the BAA. The purple and gold unis were not introduced in 1966, but in Nov. 1967 when the Inglewood Forum opened. The L.A. Kings hockey team, a brand new NHL expansion club at that time, also started with those same colors.
