Winning is the goal of any athlete in any sport and any athlete will tell you that championships mean more than numbers. Who cares if someone hits the most home runs or throws the most touchdowns. Do they win when it matters the most? LeBron should easily have 2 more championships at least and the conversation would be over for alot of people if he had 6 or even 5 championships. But you can't lose more than you win in the most important time of the year and be considered the greatest ever. No one was going to beat those KD Warriors teams, but there's no reason why Dallas or the Spurs in 2014 should have beat the Heat. And no sane person will count that mickey mouse bubble ring

Your logic, if applied consistently, leads to a problematic conclusion in the Jordan vs. LeBron debate. You can’t just stare at post 2011 stat sheets and assume because his points, rebounds, and assists seem great… that he was efficient, he took care of the ball, and he played great defense. His poor shooting, turnovers, and bad defense are his 3 main flaws… and at least one of those flaws has been exposed in every playoff elimination of his career.

I know those are small details but it bothers me when they can get the facts together. Cavs were 4-0 in first round vs Pistons and 4-0 in semis vs Hawks. Unfortunately the series vs Magic was 2-4. Thanks to Cavs couldn’t make a shot and Magic were like Spurs or Warriors behind the arc. Not even mention D12 in the paint. Still hurt me how Lewis hit a dagger in game 1 which was series turnaround point and then he was tested positive for doping substances… LeBron average 38 ppg 8 rpg and 8 apg and still lost. Painful series. Cavs would beat Lakers in the finals that year.

What’s the point of comparing Lebron to Jordon. They never played in the same era , moreover they are two different players. Jordon never once said he was the greatest player . LeBron better at the sport cause he is the guy who if you put him with any given 4 players he's going to have more of an impact for his team in a game of basketball. Let us remember in general that LeBron hangs out on the perimeter watching when a shot is taken often and by choice. We have seen that he can get 11 or 12 rebounds every game if he feels like it, which is not something Jordan is capable of at his size. What are some of Jordan's highest rebounding seasons and he very much cared; he was not doing that. LeBron kind of cared when he was young and now that he's old he's still getting 7 anyway. But yet LeBron is not a big so therefore if he fails to get double digit rebounds it's not a problem. But over the course of the game LeBron's team will get 3-5 more points due to thoseextra rebounds and LeBron's pass- first intentions getting a couple easier baskets when Jordan would have been shooting on those possessions for a normal - percentage shot instead of an open dunk by a guy such as Tristan Thompson or Dwight Howard. Jordan would have done better with some more athletic bigs, he was very unlucky there, who did he even throw alleyoops to besides Pippen? 😔😬 Ant is right the league was easier then. Just be 7' 250 with some footwork and can run well and willing to shove and you can start on a Jordan team. Didn't need to catch high slams for shit, what a shame. Forget putting LeBron in the 90s, put Dwight Howard in the 90s, his mid ass jumphookin off the backboard ass would have literally averaged 25 and 15 or better every damn year

Watching 1990s basketball today, is the same realization I have when I watch NBA TV Hardwood Classics, in the 2000s showing 1950s basketball. Putting Bron in the 80s/90s, is like putting MJ in Bob Cousy era. Game is more skilled today, more than ever. Or most likely reached its peak since 2010s, and on steady plateu ever.

most points doesnt mean that much, kareem had the most points no one said he was the most dominant/best scorer, karl malone was #2 all time in points, and no one said he was the 2nd most dominant scorer. It's longevity stat, jordan had 10 straight scoring titles, that's dominance in scoring. He avg over his lifetime more points per game than Wilt Chamberlain. Let that sink in.
