@ 5:25 Correct me if I'm wrong but the foul was called because Giannis closed the distance and got into Jimmy's zone while he was still in the air. It was made a foul in the NBA after Zaza Pachulia did that to Kawhi and basically ended his Spurs career.

Yeah, you're completely wrong. I'm not even an NBA fan anymore, but what ZaZa did and what Giannis did were different. First of all ZaZa was known as a dirty player, which maybe shouldn't matter, but he stepped straight into the shooters landing spot which resulted in Leonard landing on one of Pachulia's feet and turning his ankle. And while I'm no big fan of Giannis, he defended it correctly by jumping across the shooter's face and landing to the side of him much like a punt blocker in football would do. Also, no offense, but that play didn't end Kawhi's tenure in San Antonio. He just refused to play much with the Spurs after that.

True. One challenge is a good system if mistakes are rare. Same in cricket, limited challenges, despite refs making 0-10 mistakes a game. If it’s 0, your are fine, if it’s ten, even with cautious reviews you can run out

Here’s what you need to know about NBA officials. I was once attending a referee camp where a very well known NBA official was one of the clinicians. This was back when Shaq was the league’s star player. We asked him why Shaq isn’t fouling out with 6 offensive fouls in the 1st quarter every game, since it seemed he was allowed to literally run people over with no penalty. His response was this: “The fan in the second row is paying $2500 to sit there and watch Shaq run people over. He’s not paying $2500 to watch me foul Shaq out. If I do that, my bosses will replace me with someone who won’t do that.” It’s all about money. It’s got absolutely nothing to do with making the correct call. And that comes directly from the NBA office.
