The story of this game was not JR Smith. It was not the Warriors winning. It was LeBron James turning in possibly the greatest single-game, individual performance in NBA history. This was 51 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists against Durant, Curry, Green, Thompson, etc. This was on the road in a place where almost no one has won in the postseason over the past four years. This was on the heels of 46-11-9 in Game 6 and 35-15-9 on 48 minutes in Game 7 of the ECF. This was so insanely unprecedented and unforgettable. I hope it's not wasted on history, because it was rare, rare brilliance.

@@SmittySmith-ev8fo Cavs were clearly shaken. The Cavs as a team lost in OT flat out LeBron was disheartened even after trying to call a timeout on that rebound. I could go back and say LeBron should of could of etc what happened is that even with the superteam of the Warriors, he played sensational. Keep in mind no one else has done this ever in the NBA, and esp with the culmination of JR and the previous over turned call to blocking foul. I've been watching for 20 years not too young. Vince Carter was my fav growing up

R3aL J Capslock already summed that up. And if the refs didn't reverse the call, George Hill probably wouldn't have to shoot the free throws because the Warriors would be forced to foul at that point, as they are down. Remember that call gave Golden State 2 free points, so Cleveland would have been up by 1.

IDC if he lost but he’s just beyond great, no one expected Cleveland to be this competitive and it’s purely because of the greatest player the game has ever seen. 51 POINTS and clutch shot after clutch shot, refused to die in the 4th. When LeBron is like this in these types of moments he’s so addictive to watch, I remember working the night this game was played watching through my phone screen and all my other coworkers in the warehouse were as well. These are the moments that make us love the NBA, even though we complain about repeated match ups, nothing beats a great rivalry and a superstar player seizing the moment.

As a life long LeBron hater, this very game made me a fan. He was the ultimate underdog, and against all odds, he came out short in the most demoralizing way. His coach had a time out and didn't react, and so the rest was history. Truly a sad game that set the tone for the rest of the series.

NBA is pathetic. Refs vs Lebron. Its basically 1 on 8. 9 including JR. If you arent going to admit any fault in the games outcomes, at least open some sort of investigation into the refs. I have a feeling either theyre getting rich under the table or the NBA itself is just setting these games up.
