You rarely see one man do this type of performance. Everybody knew that the Celtics had a better team, but the Cavs had LeBron. Also, looking at the highlights from Game 2 it was evident that the Celtics were better as a team. LeBron scored 40+, and assisted a lot, and the Cavs still lost.

The main knock against LeBron is that he has failed in the finals more times than he has succeeded, particularly in the 2011 NBA finals against the Mavs. He needed time to figure things out. When Jordan made it to the finals, he NEVER let his team down. LeBron is the one of the greatest ever, but he does not touch the GOAT, Michael Jordan.

I'm in my mid 30s. I've watched alot of jordan . Saw kobe grow into the star and he was my all time favorite rest his soul 😭 but you cannot sit up and act like lebron isnt the goat. No he doeant have that offensive killer instinct they had . But he has everything else and some. His all around game is second to none. Nobody really hated on him like that until he really started threatening the idea he was the best cus his first few years everybody loved him . The other excuse is the miami thing. He gave Cleveland everything he had the first time any smart coach would have done all they could to hey him help. He was gas'd so he made a move which paid off and than came back home and gave us probly some of the best ball hes every played in his career .

IMO the GOAT is Michael beacause of the ringzzz argument and what he achived during his peak years but LeBron must be the BOAT because of his overall play, his athletism and longevity and the quality of the opposition he is currentely facing. Of course this is highly debatable and all, in other sports GOATs may be BOATs (Schumacher, Federer,...) but it is not a always the case :)

Lebron made the east look easy even when he didn’t have help. When you gave him a Wade or Kyrie, it was a wrap. The kryptonite for Lebron teams was always teams with great ball movement offenses like the 2014 Spurs or 15-18 Warriors.

During the 2017 and 2018 playoffs Lebron averaged 33.5/9/9/1.5/1 those are prime Jordan playoff numbers for about 40 games in his 14th and 15th seasons. I knew this dude was a legend when he dropped 45 at the Garden when he was 23. Still a legend and better than damn near every player to ever compete.
