@@uhohhhsteven not necessarily. basketball is a game of action and reaction. the offense has a variety of options, while the defense has to anticipate what will happen. this will automatically put the defense at a disadvantage. even a slight shoulder movement can be enough to change the defenders footwork to your favor and thus gain a 1 step advantage. if you outsmart your opponent you can be faster than him even when you're physically slower
