You guys keep saying “called out” his star. No, more like an attempt to destroy his relationship with his star player is more like it. Some things are best kept behind closed doors. Maybe a private conversation with Fox as opposed to an assassination of his character to the media for the better part of 7 minutes. Lesson learned and I hope Mike Brown finds another gig as a head coach.

He won't, cause he's historically not a good head coach. People act like the Kings just fired Phil Jackson.... Mike Brown has been fired from every HC job, coaching literally some of the best players in NBA history... only people who don't get the firing, are people that didn't watch Kings games and watch every game insane rotations and poor minutes towards bad players and not towards our performing ones, his rotations were that of someone with ADHD freaking the fuck out.

@ the same year of Mike Brown the Kings also… signed Malik Monk, traded for Kevin Huerter, drafted Keegan Murray, got Trey Lyles & first full year with Sabonis on the team. Basically assembled our whole team. Accountability is how you win, from the looks of it Mike Brown was trying to push Fox to be the accountable superstar that Brown believed he could be. The Firing of Mike Brown especially in the manner that they did is not going to sit well with Free Agents and potential coach hires. When Mike Brown was at Golden State he got Jordan Bell suspended because Jordan as a joke charged a $15 candle to MB’s room. While most people would’ve laughed this off or make Jordan pay for the candle, it’s just an example of how old school MB is. As friendly as he can be to the fans and press, he takes his work seriously and is not afraid to call out his players. Not everybody can take that style of coaching. But there is a place for it in this game, so I know he’s going to land on his feet eventually.

@leighbotts9694 Nick Saban was that type of coach before NIL came about. Saban was a no-nonsense coach who won many championships and had many players he coached, making the NFL. However, Saban's style would not work very well today in the NFL. Bill Belichick may have been the last no-nonsense coach of the NFL. How many championships do Saban and Belichick have? A lot of them together.

I played ball, highest level being in college and i see how Brown challenges Fox. To be honest, if i had a coach that challenge me that way, it means he thinks I'm great or have the ability to be greater than I am. I'd take it as a compliment that he has that interest in me being better and that would actually drive me to be great. But I'm now 47 so maybe a difference in generation. These guys are not hungry. Acting like something different happened in Sac, he lost the lockerroom and for a "defensive minded coach" he didn't do shit there, we were an offensive power house and most the good coaching came from Jordi Fernandez, who a taking Nets team took him and they've been outperforming their season when they are supposed to be tanking, Jordi continues to crush it. Losing him was significant for the collapse in Brown's coaching this year and the insane rotations he ran randomly every night, 30 games into a season, playing some of the worst performing players for 20+ mins every game and giving DNPs to arguably your 4th or 5th best player, aka your best 3 point shooter on the team this season and your 2nd or 3rd best defender.

If i was an NBA coach one of the first questions I would ask is “How will you act if i call out the star?”. If the answer is depends on our record or you’ll get no push back if warranted. I would continue. If they keep it a stack, I’ll ask for more money to take care of a situation like this.

Fox is the one who should be held accountable. No way Mike Brown should suffer. Some players have too much unnecessary pull. Sounds like Fox's premadona status was affected. Didn't like the constructive criticism, possibly. Seems like there were some personality conflicts. The coaches are trying to find the ways to win. Individuals' egos prevent the team from progressing. When individuals don't want to make the adjustments to make the team better? They need to hit the bricks. No player is bigger than the game. They might think they are. But, they are not. Management needs to get a grip and should have held a meeting, including all parties. Mike B, or good coaches, should ever be the fall-guy. Trade them, send them packing. The last game which supposedly broke the camels 🐫 back? Fox blew that game. He should have been held accountable for not following the coaching staff pre-play instructions 🙄. Fox was a main contributor to why that game was lost in the closing minutes. 😳

Fox should be glad Bobby Knight wasn't his coach!! Mike Brown challenged him, but didn't berate him; he gave Fox straight up truth, but in a critically constructive manner. The fact that Fox fell asleep when it was clear what he was supposed to be doing defensively on that last play against Detroit is telling about his attention to detail and willingness to put forth proper effort following instructions. That's on Fox all day!! Oh, but he's got that guaranteed contract, so it doesn't matter, right!?

1:12 This is one of the main reasons why the NBA viewership is down by 53%. I haven't watched an NBA game this season so far. These young players are weak, spoiled, entitled, no accountability to their weaknesses to their game. Some are uncoachable and whine and complain to GM. When they are held accountable for their lack of expectations and poor playing. Which is causing their teams to lose

Basketball is a weird sport because it is very political and subjective. Look at the clip of Fox dribbling the ball in a game at about :38 seconds. They have changed the rules of basketball in order to allow blatant carrying on almost every dribble he does. All a ref has to do is change their mind about allowing that or a coach decides that's not legal. yeah if a player is allowed to dribble like that, then that completely changes the game. Sometimes they allow charging or they call blocking fouls. Basketball is not a real sport it is a political contest.

I was wrong and I'll admit it. I vocalized players having power and a say, but it's clear players don't know nothing bout nothing. Player power is ruining sports across the board. The NFL is succeeding because there's still some level control in the possession of the people who know business. NIL is killing college football. I mean get your money, but there has to be a level of balance in it all and that's easier said then done. NBA is doomed if it continues to side with players and not allow the people who are there to manage them some type of control.

People keep saying how "Mike Brown holds players accountable." Mike Brown has been fired from EVERY TEAM he's coached, twice in Cleveland. No one: "Mike Bown is a winning coach." He's lost the locker room at every stop he's been. Singling Fox out publicly now seems orchestrated, especially when one considers Fox didn't sign an extension.
