Its a principle - you either say you brought him to hype the public because of the father-son unique aspect AND to bring Lebron back OR you plainly admit it is nepotism by Lebron & the Lakers, like Giannis/Bucks did - there is no middle ground in my opinion - dude should of stayed in college to prove himself. For me it's just dirty because I have dealt in real life with people getting their jobs through unfair ways, including nurses at the public hospitals. I'm not saying this is a big deal, BUT it is setting a bad example for tha fans and whoever is paying attention. Also the huge amount of nba/media people just pretending it's 100% okay and this isn't shady at all, the hypocrisy we breed is scary. The Raptors roster is pretty much set at this point… they’re at approx $170m payroll currently, JUST short of the luxury tax, n have all 15 roster spots full now. I’d say there’s a 95% chance Trent Jr does not return at this point - paying him would catapult them to/past the 2nd tax apron - a move that doesn’t make sense for a team as bad as they are currently. Hope they can swap Brown for a pick during the season n hopefully Ja’Kobe can fill in for Trent Jr as they rebuild…

Yea as long as smaller markets don’t shy away from the luxury tax. If they do then it won’t help them much. For example, Hartenstein in OKC. The Thunder gonna have a huge bill in two seasons. Sorry Bobby, I do not agree with some of the things you talk about. Please explain to me how Lakers do not have a contending team when they just went to the WCF last year, and this year without their defensive stopper, Vando and Gabe was hurt all year. If they had played anyone but Denver, there were people picking them to get to the WCF again.
