i almost don't care if they aren't a genuine championship contender, come playoff time. I just think they're a fun team to watch and wish the best for them. it's also odd to see a team that was cobbled together over the last 12 months, with no superstars, leading the Eastern Conference on merit, but also having no expectations on them. every win in the playoffs will just be a bonus for them.

The Celtics lose the same way in all of their losses. It’s weird and disappointing. The Celtics will play together as a unit (good ball-player movement) and get a lead. Then, Jayson and Jaylen will start doing isolation play. Occasionally, you will see other teammates start to do it too, but it is mostly done by Jayson and Jaylen. They get away from what got them the lead, and the coach allows it (first: Stevens; now: Udoka). Whenever you see those guys start to go one-on-one, expect the Celtics to likely lose the lead and the game.

He is doing it because they have two guys that only score seldom playmake and they don't rebound well without added big...Horford has this thing where he is better at boxing out than actually going to get the rebound...Ime should have Horford off the bench but also challenge Brown/Williams to be better rebounders...and Williams to go harder in that area (less fouls more minutes)...no reason for him to be under 35mins at his age and talent

Knicks got the heart, grit and hustle to partially compensate for being less talented than some of the teams on the East. There’s something wrong with the Celtics in terms of mentality. Didn’t either Smart or Horford call out Tatum and Brown for being ball hogs earlier in the season?

I agree with Chuck. I don’t think JB and Tatum are a fit, but I also think bad coaching, and bad signings in free agency are the cause of the Celtics not playing well at the moment.

The only problem the Celtics have is at the point guard and in the post. They need a pass first or all around guard who pushes the pace and they need a two way semi dominant to dominant big.

The problem with the Celtics is they have 2 guys who want 2 be Batman, there is only one Batman, and then there is the 2nd best player who is Robin. it's like Tatum and Brown are jut fine playing one on one basketball, n0 ball movement ,especially down the stretch no way the Celtics should have lost this game
@tesfahailu1000
@tesfahailu1000 2 жыл бұрын
they are playing with 3 guys who can't shoot. it doesn't matter what either does because it doesn't matter. they struggle finishing because the paint is always packed or a help defender is lurking. when they pass the ball to open players, they miss the open shots. when they iso, it's inefficient. it's all bad. teams have no problems game planning: pack the paint and give anybody not the Jay's open shots. Ime needs to put the best shooters he has on the court or find another job.
