Aspergers isn't a diagnosis anymore btw. There are loads of ways to be autistic, and what was once called aspergers is just one part of that spectrum. Also it should never have been called that, because it's named after a nazi who killed autistic children. You're autistic. Not an ass burger.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers a few years back. It's hard to say how severe a disorder it can be, since there's a wide range - some people can find ways of dealing with it better than others and live a fairly active/fulfilled lifestyle. I know it's had a big impact on my life, the fact it effects how I fit in with the crowd has got to me more than I wish, but I'm still well aware there are far worse conditions out there. It's a very frustrating condition.

Aspergers is not a serious disorder, just a different mindset. That's like saying being gay is a serious disorder, or liking different music is a serious disorder. Yes, it has cons, but it has pros as well (High creative and logical output for example.). If people didn't label it as a disorder, people like me (who has dealt with it, and had to work extra hard to achieve social activity) wouldn't get so much unwarranted prejudice.

@StripeMeGreen Well, it depends on how severe the condition is. Some people with very severe Aspergers don't quite know how to express their emotions, because it's difficult for them to infer how to do it from normal social interaction. So, when they're amused and would have a feeling that would cause laughter in a socially adept person, they may express it in a radically different way.
