You have all the time in the world to write an eloquent letter when you are in prison, so what's your point? Just because she has an accent, she can't write?. English is not her first language. When you are on trial for being involved in a murder case, yes get an interpreter to be sure you understand.

It seems many criminals proclaim to be soooo very, very sorry for their crimes shedding many a tear before they are sentenced, even claiming they would gladly trade places with the dead victim/s. However, their penitence is short-lived and they begin fighting their sentence with dry eyes and determination as soon as they exit the courtroom. If only they would put that much energy and thought into NOT doing the crime in the first place.
