I could totally relate to what Ifti Nasim said: In the beginning, when we come to America, we deny our heritage. But unless we know where we come from, we won't know where we're going.

Afghanistan is located in South Asia and the people there have Arab and South Asian ancestry. It's weird but I learned more about my South Asian heritage when I got older.

@@saeefa yes I'm aware of that my Biological father is from there but he looks South Asian. The food in Afghanistan is similar to the food in India. There are South Asians there just like there are Central Asians the people in Afghanistan are a diverse group of people

They have people in Afghanistan that look Chinese and they have others like me who are very dark skinned

I felt weird growing up and I found out who I was when I took my DNA. People told me I was Middle Eastern or Indian looking when I was in school. My mother's heritage is African American. I can admit I struggled with my identity as a kid
