That really helps me now as I have bad knees, slipped discs in my back, severe tendinitis including a huge spur that developed under my rotator cuff. The spurs grow to buffer the repetitive injury. My right arm is nearly useless and 2 vertebrae in my neck have collapsed. It was all about the speed and I was so rewarded for it in my 20’s being one of the fastest. I was warned by a female coworker in her 40’s and others about getting older and I just laughed. Now I am 44 and can barely move.

horrid working conditions is the price of cheap goods. You can't get behind workers while still demanding cheap prices and good service. You want the employees to not get exploited, and be paid a fair day's pay for a fair day's work? Be willing to accept higher prices and not the massive discounts. It starts with you the consumer.
@AhsokaSkywalker6 жыл бұрын
I agree. I've been calling this economy where illegals and H1Bs are used to replace Americans, jobs are sent overseas, and working conditions get worse, all supposedly to make prices lower (which they aren't as low as they could be, as it's clear it's more to get executive pay higher) a "snake eating its tail economy". Eventually , except for the elites like Bezos, we'll ALL get devoured.

universal basic income Its the system that takes labor savings and transfers that over to the people that companies put out of work. It would be a federally mandated system kind of like the tax system. If a company hires actual people, they get the "robot tax" waived. This system allows people to get incomes as an opportunity cost as companies replace their workers for saving on labor, but also contributing to a better work-life balance.

Then around 3:30 3:45 here get your final break but you got to remember you have to put in guac time so it was only 10 minutes but don't even think about going to the bathroom at Amazon because if you go to the bathroom and your production goes down you can lose your job that way too Amazon is an absolute joke I will never work there again👹👺🤥🤥

Lol 80hr work weeks where at cause we not even getting 20hrs right now, but they keep say ing peak season coming up where we max at 60hrs. But i did get sick turned out i had pneumonia the hosptial took me out of school and work(guess where) and i lost almost all of my upt(unpaid time off) which isnt exclusive to sick days (we dont get those) upt is used for sick days vacation or just days you dont wanna come in. So it was looked at as if i just didnt wanna come in to work as oppose to me being really sick unable to.

bullet5760 I was thinking the same thing we have to fight to get at least 20 hours the only time that it can be possibly conceived 80 hours is during peak time does if you make it to pick time working as a white badge or if you are a full-time employee

@@n1sugarbaby69 it gets easier to get hours if you learn more. For example at my sort center I learned to do everything from pit, to closing, to even running the floor as a PA. The more you know how to do, the more hours you can-get because you can fill in anywhere they need people. Just my thought. Helped me get accumulate more sick time.

The problem is the high demand and not enough positions being filled fast enough 😥 this can happen in any popular facility I'm sure not intentionally but it's hard to change things when the way you do things actually makes the company flourish

I was there three months, and I left along with four other co-workers when they refused another a day off to go to her brother’s funeral. I got a low performance rating as well when I opted not to do overtime one night, I did it every other time I was asked before then, the one time I said no I got sanctioned for it

Those Amazon employees are just like moving parts in a lifeless machine. Time for Amazon to bring in the spin doctors. I'm thinking twice about buying from Amazon.

That awkward moment when the CEO is trying to employee people from a country which doesn't already meet his standards.

I love how the executive does not think it is a bad place at all to work. How about asking someone at the lower levels to confirm her conclusions.

I'm sure the people who ran the workhouses had similar defenses for their brutal work conditions.
