I have an uncle who was a cop in KY, retired in the 90's, bravest guy I know, nothing could unsettle him. He attended a police convention in Los Angeles in the late 80's and got invited to a cookout by a bunch of police members, I think he said they were from the Lynnwood department. They all had caveman tattoos with flies, the flies represented the souls of people they deleted in the line of duty, they believed their souls would be their slave in the afterlife. My uncle said this was the only time as a cop that he was truly spooked.

My friend works in police and does a pretty freaking awesome job and answers those domestic violence calls that most people run from yet he puts up his body on a line to defend others who are defenseless against stronger guys. He has a child. He has a wife. He wants to see his child graduate. I just wish that we would not stereotype the ENTIRE workforce for actions of specific groups of people. There's MANY who want to do a good job and try to do it daily. So many unsung heroes and so many who answer emergencies, etc. Who we never hear about on the news. No one wants positive stories.

How is a police department allowed to continue knowing gang members are within the force? Thats crazy. I can only imagine the corruption and mistreatment that goes on there. A lot of cases need to be reviewed bc I’m certain they planted evidence or lied on the stand at trial.

this issue has been worsening over the years, the only answer is to swap out a majority of the force over time with national guardsmen. once a substantial swap has been made, say 250 officers, while the guardsmen take up the officers roles, the federal government can investigate the officers backgrounds during their time as guardsmen. once an officers background has been cleared, and a sizable number cleared, they and the guardsmen can rotate back into their original roles. rinse and repeat until you get through the entire force.

I remember it well. It's has been going on since the 80s!!! On the streets the cops used to be@t us with their big 4 D cell battery Mag Lights and call it "flashlight therapy", hogtie us and then drive us to rival g@ng territory and drop us off in the middle of the night and early hours of the morning at like 2am and leave us for de@d. These are things I experienced MYSELF!!! Other times they would plant d0pe on us and g*ns and frame us for crimes. They didn't want to do paperwork so they never really arrested people (unless they were framing you for something big). Nobody listened to us. Almost everyone in the county jail facilities could tell you these stories back in the late 80s and 90s!!! NOBODY FRICKIN' LISTENED!!!! These are just a few examples. Let's not even talk about the MURDERS they committed!!!
