Australia's still recovering from the massive brush/wildfires of 2019 China continues to undercut fair pay, safety, material quality and reasonable working hours in the name of profit. the country may be rich, but the people are poor. and diseased. Sino-soviet relations are starting to break down, AGAIN, and Putin's claiming he'll "knock the teeth out" of anyone who stands in the way of russian growth. Russia has also become a breeding ground of hackers and cyber terrorists, who are attacking all other countries as well as their own. Don't even get me started on Ukraine. The United States is self-explanatory. We can't afford housing, we can't afford medicare, we can get jobs but they only pay enough to cover the fuel it costs to travel to the job, and our society is falling apart because it didn't discipline it's newer generations when they were children, causing them to grow up acting entitled, greedy, disrespectful, and hateful instead of what America was _supposed_ to represent. Central and south america are feeling the most extreme effects of environmental destruction and Climate change, and Brazil's logging activities have decreased it's rainforest's abilities to compenaste for it. Mexico is barely holding the line against powerful criminals and drug cartels that are influencing it's government and oppressing it's people, and neither the UN or other international organizations are helping deal with it anymore. Africa's under attack from all sides, including the inside, for power struggles and food shortages. I haven't heard much from the United Kingdom or Canada, but I'm sure those of you living there are well-aware of problems plaguing your country. these may not be the end times, but they sure do look like them. :(

The department store where I work was robbed last year in the name of George Floyd. A lockdown level of 4 caused these people and their kin they support to lose their source of income. It's winter right now and the president has told us we will be staying in lockdown 4 for another 2 weeks. That's another 2 weeks of hunger for these people. The companies that employed them can't pay them cause they are losing money too. No we look at each-other with distrust, and exchange while trying to get our livelihoods back on track, the trust comes from guaranteeing a loan on someone with a good work-ethic and credit history. When Europeans are poor, whether in America or Europe, they choose to read and dedicate themselves to something. Even in our down-state we are wary of other Europeans. there's a really weird feeling about doing nothing. If I do nothing for too long I become depressed, it's the same way with dad. It's almost like a guilt, wasting time when we could be furthering ourselves, and increasing our lot in life for those we care for, mostly ourselves, in the standing of ourselves in our own eyes. Don't care about the government too much.
