What pence left out was that in his case he also had a conflict of interest. HE WAS A CANDIDATE IN THE ELECTION! He cannot and should not have the power to pick and choose which states EC votes matter and which ones don’t especially to benefit himself in an election. After safe harbor has passed any last min challenge to a states EC votes must come from congress. NOT THE VP! Six states were challenged on Jan 6th only 2 getting the required senator and house member to be formally challenged by vote. Those 2 states were AZ and PA. Both votes in both chambers for each state failed miserably. It wasn’t even close. Perhaps you are fortunate to not know anyone from a troubled family system. I have found it to be a foundational mental template for cultlike thinking. If she allows herself to see what is actually self-evident, her internal reality and identity is severely threatened. Noticed how effortlessly and practiced the reactions are? It is a adaptation which has become a lifelong, self-reinforcing practice. Multiply this example by tens of millions and we have this real zombie apocalypse.
