The water from that garden hose will evaporate in about 5 minutes. We have a farm in Australia, located amid eucalyptus trees, and we take proactive measures by burning or removing all trees and brush at least 50 meters away from the main house. And we do it without notifying the local council/county. The house is also constructed from brick and concrete, our house has withstood three major fires without issue. By loosing half a dozen trees or so around your home, you will save yourself the heartache of loosing everything!
@lisagardner90314 күн бұрын
These people are Californian's and they don't have any common sense! It is against the law to clear trees and brush in California because of the environmentalists. Truth!
@blueskies38614 күн бұрын
Sure, but it's ILLEGAL to remove brush and scrub near your house..a man was fined around $100k for doing it!
@Dane-rg6sy14 күн бұрын
@ I realise that if we purely focus on the rule book, yes it is absolutely illegal. But just because it is law, does that make it right? Does it make it safe? Will the house remain intact or burn down when fire comes raging through your backyard? There comes a time when people have to limit the power of government from their own incompetence. The only thing that limits the power of government is our compliance. In fact the limit of the people’s obedience is the only power that has ever kept government in check. And today, as governments increase their size and power to themselves to levels never seen before in history… we the people must once again find the limit. The limit of our obedience. The point where we stop saying Yes to everything, and say No to bad laws. Gandhi called it, nonviolent and noncompliance. Aristotle said, “it’s not always the same thing to be a good man, and a good citizen.” Martin Luther King Jr said, “one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws”. To state this is a modern way, “Good people break bad laws” This all starts from the top, the government. Poor planning, management and incompetence from government. If people don’t find a limit to their obedience to bad laws, that $100,000 dollar fine you referred to will turn into a $1 million dollar fine, and then what? It will never end. No amount of money will ever be enough for their over bloated, incompetent politicians who serve foreign globalists, not the citizens of California.

It was too dry when you’re talking about a fire being able to just naturally ignite that’s an extreme condition. Hundred mph winds created by a fire that’s heating the air on land while the cooler ocean air is to the west of you. Extreme condition. There really is nothing that could’ve been done. This was going to happen and sad to say it is gonna happen again. Nothing can be done to prevent it now what you can do is rebuild and when you rebuild, you literally have to build in preparation for fire literally spacing your community out designing your community so that it’s more difficult for fire to travel.

Historically California had wildfires on mountains, canyons. Native Americans from California know the history of California.But the problem is that people do not know those facts, and developers don't care where they build. The Real Estate and Developer Industry only care about making money, and don't really care about the people who buy those properties in those fire prone areas. The fires will probably be exacerbated more and more, because of climate change or global warming. Is better not to build in mountains and canyons,because of the future dangers of stronger and more destructive fires who create their own destructive weather tornadoes. The lack of quality forestry management adds to the already existing problem. On top of that you may have criminal arsonists,who are probably making the situation worse. But I think the main problem is ignorance on the part of the people who buy those properties on canyons and mountains. Sooner or later government will have prohibit developers from building on mountains and canyons in Calif. Global warming is real and the situation will keep getting worse and worse. The scientists have known for decades the destructive impacts of global warming. But no one wants to address this topic,because it's not profitable.

This is the fact that that like half of Los Angeles, one of the biggest cities in America destroyed and with over 24,000 firefighters from all over helping it’s just insane all of the lives that I’ve been took in and all the buildings that have destroyed😢

My neighbor lent me their Jackery, and it helped so much. I used it to power a small fan and an air filter, which made the smoke a little more bearable. It’s one of those things you don’t think about until you need it

Are people or firefighters able to use any of the swimming pools to help fight the fire?
@WahyuningsihAchmad14 күн бұрын
You need electricity to use water pump and power is out
@zachrichardson558114 күн бұрын
They did that in some cases. But all they're able to do (I think) is just literally bucket by bucket from pools which is barely impactful. Especially when the winds were bad there was no real chance of stopping that.

Over a billion dollars spent on the homeless in LA, which is never fixed. Think about what kind of preventative fire work could have been done for that amt of money. The compassion is killing homeless drug addicts, and killing tax payers. A big rethink has to be done.

Theoretically the armchair enthusiast may conclude the extreme winds were caused by focusing the HAARP generator like a laserbeam at boiling ocean surfaces near the shoreline, for a miles-long linear array of expanding columns of steam rising in an array of extreme temperature coefficients interacting to generate sustained long term unmitigated gale-force weather patterns, such as that which drove the Hawaiian firestorms. Then, they'll conclude the municipal water supply at the hydrant lines were intentionally shut, when they simply pinched off recycled wastewater treatment funds. This would never happen to the Elites in Sthan Fransthithco.

To the people who are so angry about water pressure, the amount of people, equipment to fight the fires. Be angry, but remember at some point, please remember, all the hours the plains couldn’t fly because the winds were about 100 mph, and the firefighters… the hero’s that went countless days without sleep, by all rights I’m surprised they didn’t die trying to save people and houses. Put the blame on who/ what caused the fires. I am truly so very, very sorry to everyone affected 😢😢😢💔😞
